Weak Plants?

i would like to know what you guy think is the best germination method and to please ask you guys to explain it to me in full. I once tried the paper towel method and had a great germination rate but when I transplanted them into soil more than 80% of them died. Maybe I left them too long in the paper towel. Please guy its really important I dont screw this up cause I got an excellent strain from my friend but there is only 6 seeds so there is no space for error! Thanks in advance.

The paper towel is how a lot of people do it, but you have to catch it after the root starts, but before the root actually starts to attach itself to the towel.
I messed up with the towel method and it dried out the first time, so I put mine in cotton balls the second try, and that worked for me. I also got lucky, and tried another seed straight into the soil. I put it about 1/2" deep and that one worked also.

This is what i did and it worked 100%. i did the paper towel method but i placed the paper towel inside of a CLEAN damp wash cloth. put in between two plates then in a ziplock freezer bag. turned my laptop upside down and put the plate on top of it. They grew tap roots in 24 hours. Then straight into moist soil and it was flawless. hope this helps

The wet paper towel method is the easiest and most effective method especially so for new growers. Make sure the towel doesnt dry out. I keep a bowl covered with saran wrap and lay the paper towel on the bottom, put the seeds down on it and fold the paper towel once over the top, cover with saran wrap and you will have tap roots in a few days. Dont keep them in there once they crack the seed, and dont bury them too deep in the soil. Take a pencil top or something like it and bore about 3/4 of an inch into the damp soil and drop it with the root downward and cover lightly with soil and Viola !!

Heat helps the seed to crack to much and u cook em so becarefull u could use a sky box thats on stand by and a small sealable container thay keeps the moisture in so it ll neva dry up!!

I never thought of that, always thought a dark warm place would be enough but that is genius lol, i don't think I will take that chance though just have six seeds and would rather let them come out naturally but thank you for the info I learned something new today!

chedder is right a litlle heat goes a long ways at germ time

i use a heat pad at 80 degreesand flouresent tubes - straight through germ to transplant of seedlings
when they come off heat pad at about 3 weeks - are ready for food and cfls
most times under cfls for about 3 weeks then ready for big lights

I get one gal containers, fill them with MG Seed Starting Mix or Fox Farm Light Warrior, wet the soil and let it drain for a minute or two.

Then I soak my seed for 5 min, take it out and roll it around in an inoculate like Great White, and then sow it 1/2 inch deep. Next I mist with water and place it under my grow lights. Set the timer and check on it again in 3 days.

This method avoids rotting out the seed and dealing with any transplanting problems. And by putting it under your grow lights from the start, you don't have to check on them daily to see when they've popped. The moment they do pop, they get immediate light so there's little to no stretch.

I use a small food grade plastic container mate, fill with tap water put it in a cupboard for 24hrs to adjust to room temp and then throw the seeds in usually within 24-36hrs I'll have tap roots and then they go into root riot cubes and into the prop under the lights to help keep the prop warm usually 24-36hrs again and they're up and out of the root riot cubes, I then leave hem until the tap root emerges out of the bottom and then they go into soil with a light watering and that's it they're off on there journey.
