What type of grow. I have done several hydro, somewhat unfamiliar with dirt.

There is sooooo much to it. What do you know and what is your set up (lights - type & wattage, square feet and height of grow area, nutes, etc)?

Whats the budget like? I am a veteran budget grower. A lot will complain and say not to do it if you can buy everything. I have watched my buddy for a decade, he has all the bells and whistles by now and has done a lot of trial and error. I have a good idea of optimal set ups as well and adding to my own constantly.

We will get you through it.

Hey guys, I'm a beginner myself. The ppl here are great and will help you in any way if you have a specific question. Try being as specific as possible and include things like strain, grow medium, lighting, indoor or outdoor, age of plants, etc. Try checking out one of the many grow guides posted online too. They helped me get started. Good luck!

We actually are letting them grow outside because the weathers great here. So as for light its aue nautral and the budget is pretty tight so if your still able to help that would be great.

We're growin in 2 gallon pots with moister control potting soil so we dont over or under water them. And to be honest the plants are only 4 days old.

Since this is the Outdoors section I'll assume they will be outside?

If you are completely new to gardening, go to a nursery and buy a couple tomato plants. Ask a BUNCH of questions about care and feeding.

Pot does pretty well under that regimen. Once you get a crop, inspiration should drive you to learn more.

Best book? Jorge Cervantes' "Indoor/Outdoor Grow Bible".

I don't grow autos, but my garden is a fair example of what can be done in an outdoor medicinal garden, in central California.

My bad, I didnt notice the forum it was under.

Nice grow veggiegardener.

i dont do outside.

Thecouple said they already planted, so if you are in to it, go for it, maybe get some tomatoes too. Just start reading, especially when you have an inclination something is abnormal. They get light, they get water. I think alot of the rest is prolly gonna be experience and personal pref.

Good luck.

Dig some holes and supplement the soil I'm sure you can find cheap organic supplements to add to some potting soil from Home depot.

Do what all the other experienced ppl here did.. including myself. READ, READ, READ, READ, READ... take a break and smoke a bowl.. then go READ some more. Then, when you have a question.. then come in and ask. Nobody in their right mind.. is going to tell you step by step, on how to grow cannabis. Your going to have to do what everyone else did when they first started out (Noob's!) and go read until your eyes go crossed.

Sorry.. ;) Besides, I grow indoors only.. as I like having control over my plant's environment to ensure that no bugs or anything else has a chance to have an effect on my grow(s). I would suggest the same to you my friend.. its much easier than worrying about being seen and getting caught. (Unless your a medical patient.. and are allowed to grow.) Which right now.. in the state I live in.. its still illegal. Even for medical use.. not for long though. It's coming.. eventually.

Hope this helped!
Good luck to ya's!
peace.

I have to repeat ganjalurv's advice; read, research, read, research and keep doing it until you understand how to germinate seeds, prepare a growing medium, how a plant grows, when to harvest and how to trim, dry and cure plants and then ask questions regarding specific areas of expertise. Everything you need to know about marijuana growing is on the web. I know very experienced growers who won't bother with the general forums because they feel a majority of the beginners are too lazy to do any research on their own, have reading deficiencies or listen to others who don't really know what the hell they're doing but like posting on forums and want someone to lead them by the hand through each step.

Good luck with your grow.

This is some great advice, i just started growing as well but I have been reading for quite awhile (and I still dont know SHIT). I grew LW#2 last year and it went pretty well, great smoke! This grow I have some auto-blueberry and a couple other strains. Maybe it would help if you described what you currently have set up. Good luck!!!

autoflowering strains aren't my specialty. Post pics and explain what your thinking and doing when the time comes and I will give yah my 2 cents..... for whatever its worth.

My first bit is to look at other outdoor grows in the forum, and match up things from other peoples grows to your situation. See what worked for them, and go with your gut. Put your heart into it, be patient, and love what you're doing.

Good Luck.....

I second this. All of that ^^ , along with your first grow is the key to success.

Use Organic fertlizer, like Roots Organic or Humbolts naturals, and that will save you much frustration. But remember no chlorinated water.

what is the best thing we can do to get rid of bugs on the plant an we not asking step by step we just look for some pointers to make it better then what we know how how do.

Use slug bait around the bottom and use Neem oil (diluted) on the plant, not in full sunlight.

Or safr gro from walmart a product used for tomatoes
