I get 14 hours of brutal sun at 2000ft elevation in the emerald triangle.

What I have,

Tomatoes,
Cucumber
melons
Echinacea purpurea
green peppers

Do any of these like hot as hell sun?
I have drip lines already.

The only shady spot is right next to the road where people will be thinking its weed and cause drama.

The other spot is fenced and shady but is a natural area for dear and Im sure dear eat tomatoes?

they should be fine man in the sun man, just make sure after a hot day to give them lots of water. i water at sunset some water before sun rise, or at night, your choice, as long as they get wet

grower834, We have hell on earth sun for 14 hours a day and the really hottest starts at 4 and 5 pm.
Its whats called a micro climate, but around my house we call it an energy vortex.

I found a sloaping hill where the sun dips below the hill around 5 and has some upper shade from the sun at times.

I thought a shade cloth but the store lady said it can get expensive if done correct.

Do they grow tomatoes in Fresno right in the open hot hellish sun?
I did buy a commercial drip system last night at home depo so I can keep them with enough water.
