I like to capture rain water in 5 gal. buckets and use that to water my gals. But i get tree litter in the buckets. Then i have to screen out all the crap before i can put it in my watering can. I was in a hurry this morning so I just put the plants right in the bucket (only 2 inches deep) and through capilar action the dirt sucked the water up through the drainage holes it was pretty cool.

That is how I feed my plants til they get put in their final 3 or 5 or sometimes 7 gallon pots...it is easier that way...then I don't have to guess at how much to give each plant and end up with a mess...I just make a bucket of water, and let each pot have a turn...
