Watering sprouts

If the soil is moist and they are in a humidity dome of some sort don't water them untill the soil is dry! If the soil was wet when you planted the seed then you shouldn't have to water them for at least a week.

Really? The soil I planted them in was damp, very but here I thought I was suppose to water them everyday maybe even three times a day. but then again maybe thats why all my other sprouts shriveled all up

OMG no! that is a fer sure way to kill them. you need to be misting the leaves for a couple of daze after they sprout so they dont dry up.

when a seed in its shell has germ'nd it means it has pulled in all the water it needs to break the skin and pop thru the soil. u would be better off not watering it at all then to water multiple times a day. heres a good trick ..when u plant a seed in the pot wrap the pot with clingwrap to creat the greenhouse effect, water once b4 wrapping and it wont need a water until its well and truely broken the soil.

Thank you all, all of you. I shall ease back and begin simply misting the sprouts and try the method SCG suggested with clingwrap. this is turning out to be a very interesting project.
