Water, water i love water

i love water and so do my young friends but i am supplying them with this element twice a day(too much?) . I am currently housing the two of em in separate paper cups of your brand name soil. Shining down are two cfl lights built onto the aerogarden standard along with 1 42w cfl. The lights are 2-3 inches from the tops of these 4in beauties. there awake for 20 and asleep for 4. I was curious to know if i have made any mistakes in this plan so far? This is my first time indoors.

Also the two bottom leaves are pretty yellowish and since my first grow outdoors where i found myself overwatering and i got this strange feeling i may be doing the same thing but indoors. I only water when the soils dried out but i have be trying to wait a little while after it dries before i water and i don't believe i flood them when i do water.

Is watering twice a day normal or maybe the lights are too close?
What should i do about the yellowed leaves?

Any advice is good advice.:blsmoke:

pics would help, but twice a day is way to much for soil.

You said their in soil but whats this about aero garden? oh just the lights from one?

2-3 inches is good for cfls.

The soil should dry out completely before you water again.

You have holes in the bottom of the cups right?

I suggest transplanting them into pots as well, the roots grow INCREDIBLY FAST, that might be why its sucking up the water? You didn't say how old they are though so I don't know. If your plants are more than a week old and still in cups OMG REPOT NOW... I MEAN RIGHT NOW.

Sadly my camera broke so pics are not available. i have holes in the bottom the cups but you were saying i should transplant. They have been in the cups for about two weeks now. The first week was outside and the second has been inside so i think its about time for a transplant. Luckily for my sake i remembered to get superthrive at home depot yestersday.

Thanks for the talk darkness.
