Remember homie, if using nutes or certain strong soils (foxfarm ext.) Using TAP water, can all Raise your ph. so when water tests 6.8 - 7ish after yu water the mixture might pop it up to 7.2+

Tell the dro guy that Uncle Ben said he doesn't know what he's talking about. Sounds like he just threw you a bone anyway. It's useless and time consuming to adjust your water pH for soil. Soil will buffer it almost immediately. Don't run with opinions as most haven't done their homework. Get out your pH meter and remove all doubt.

No thats not really correct your Water should be Phed between 5.8 - 6.5 for soil or soiless not 7 thats too alkaline ..............also your Soil should be Phed to 7 though.......so Phed soil is 7 but actual water ph is 5.8 - 6.5 i do 6.0 for my soiless mix but anywhere in the range the plant will live just dont go over 7 or under 5 for your water but really 6.0 is better than eather of those........

5.8 to 6.5 seems about right anything lower would be to acidic although for clones or seedlings i like to start them off at 5.5. Even 7 is ok thats nuetral. i keep mine at 6.1 anything lower and they start to get sad on me. PH levels will vary in strains i have come to learn. Master your strain.
