Water Guide or questions to start?

So after germination, I am suppose to place the seed about 1/3 inch into the soil and cover losely.

Pretend I am doing this in a jiffy pot, how much water do I now apply to the soil that is already slightly moist?

Then how much water should I about put in when I water again, a teaspoon? Tablespoon? 1/4 Cup?

I am looking for ranges as I have been just spraying mine about 5 sprays per plant each day and I think this is not enough...

do you have it in a dome? if so just spay it once you want to just keep it moist. pour a little water in a tray let the jiffy pot soak for a bit put it b ack under the dome for the day. u can use a food container like a walmart braized chickn tub. or the like. just make sure u wash it real real good.

Get away from the Jiffy Pot at the beginning if possible. It will cause you problems later on. It is very dense and not very good for the young seedling roots.

If you are going to grow to completion...you need to think about having a 3-5 gallon pot. I suggest putting the germed seeds into the medium you are going to grow in like a quart size of more. The less transplants the better in my opinion. Jiffy Pots are old and shitty compressed spare peat moss that didn't make it into other things. You want to give you babies better than that at the beginning!

thanks for the info sir nug. i just put a chocolope seed in a jiffy puck. it was about 1/4 tail when i potted it the other day. what damage would/could i cause trying to dig it out or should i just leave it.

They will not be in any humider etc as the closet is already humid enough.

Just how much should I water about? Should I spray a few times, or should I soak it tell the water comes dripping out? And how often should I do this? Differences in seed plant watering, to sprouted, to two sets etc??

Ah...you will be good. I also subscribe to the idea that if you expose your seedling to rough goings early on....it makes it stronger. "Weeds" out the ones that will not survive.

Jiffy Pots work...just not the best in my opinion.
