water during lights on or off

my lights turned on at 3pm and my pump turned on at 4pm then later when the light was off at 3am it turned on at 4am but recently a friend told me that i should pump every 2 hrs during the lights ON cycle anyone have any input on that? he said let them sleep at night and only turn the pump on during the daytime cycle

um WTH are you saying??? are you telling him to water when they are on? or you dont want light when the plants are (sleeping)? hes using a pump... it waters when ever he turns it on (right?) so no light will be in there cuz he isnt going in the room.

yeah i mean thats how i was going to run it, make the pump turn on when the lights are on and keep it off when they are sleeping
