Water chiller ideas?

the ONLY chiller you should ever buy is penguin chiller out of florida. rock star 1/2 hp. 95 degrees in the warehouse.. 220 gallins of nutes at 63 and the plant loving it.

I have tried ALL of the garbage in the hydro stores, the penguin is a fucking beast.

FFR.. for you DWC people, try 65 degree nutes, we have found that the plants are way more hardy/less chance of slime

What I've done is, went to Autozone and picked up a auxilliary radiator for $20, hooked up some 1/2" tubing, hung it in front of my AC's output, dropped a second sub pump in the res for it and it works great!

Back from the dead- I was looking into coolers and found this-How has it worked, any temp data of improvements?

This works for a tiny heat load but it's pretty damn inefficient.

What exactly are you trying to chill?

You'll need a chiller for that. I made one from a mini fridge, a 50' coil of soft copper submerged in water inside the refridge, and it worked for a 20 gallon res...barely.
