I was shipped the fox farm "hydroponics" grow big nutes, but I'm growing in soil so I'm trying to figure out if I can still use these nutes to feed my plants.

What is the difference between the FF hydro grow big and the FF soil grow big...

Thanks for the help.

I use the grow big in my hydro setup and I don't think it matters with them tbh. Back of my bottle says 2-3 tsp per gallon of water. If I were using soil I'd just clean out a gallon milk jug(s), add 3 tsp to each and fill with distilled/RO water.

Then water normally or whatever the bottle recommends. It's all the same shit as far as I know.

dont quote me on this but i THINK the difference in soil and hydro nutes are hydro nutes are a litttle lower NPK and broken down smaller because hydro setups dont have the micro-organisms and bacterias like soil has to break the nutes down finer..

guy above me is right...hydro nutes work for soil, but soil nutes dont work for hydro...just be careful with hydro nutes, they are SUPER concentrated

Here is what I got back from foxfarm, figured i would share with you.

Kyle,
* *Thank you for your inquiry. Sorry to hear of your online ordering troubles. One day I hope that web ordering will be easier to deal with. In the mean time, feel free to use the Grow Big Hydroponic in your soil garden. You can follow the same doses as the Soil Feeding Chart indicates. The reason we created the Grow Big Hydro in the first place is because some type of hydroponic systems, that expose roots directly to the nutrient solution, don't buffer elements the way that soils do. Some growers were experiencing root burn with the Nitrogen in the regular Grow Big, so we formulated the same product but with a different type of Nitrogen that is just as strong but won't burn delicate roots. Thanks for your support and let me know if you have any more questions.
