Hey Lord it's probably not you it's that the NeoSol 600 is not a true 600 watt HPS replacement when it comes to marijuana IMHO. Illumitex seems to be as full of shit as anyone when it comes to real world performance and from what I know you don't have enough F3s per square foot. A NS can't do a 4x4 crop of weed. Plus they need to be driven a bit harder than the 530mA for marijuana. Maybe the F3 is probably not the best spectrum for vegging but it still should do well. I use to use a F1 rig for veg and it worked fine for me. I think it's you've got too much area for it to cover properly. How high is the rig? Have you been lowering and raising it to see what the plants do?

Good Luck.
I think you hit it right on the head with your F1s. F3 is made for summer/fall food crops (tomatoes or squash) not for vegging short day flowering plant (cannabis). It may veg better with SOME indicas if that really like their yellows and reds to stretch. But I think it will preform well in flower (for its wattage). Side note is your F1 rig a DIY? I have only found a 24" ES1 in F1 for like $900.

Here is a little background if need Scotch089 : http://www.illumitex.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Horticultural-Brochure-4.25.14.pdf

It may be to much nut i think having a little nut burn it showing here a pic what do you think.
In my experience when using a "purple" spectrum you have to play with how you feed. I have read about people using "low light" (depending on who you talk to can be less than 400w-1000w) dosage but I had ZERO luck in soil/less. I found when I switched to hydro, when vegging I used my less than half my base but 2-3 times my calmag. It just takes some playing with... and clones.

Yeah I just liked the extra blue in the FI for vegging and that they're supposed to be the most efficient of the Illumitex line of horti diodes. Anyway I found these for $250.00

The problem is they are only running at 450mA, which is OK for vegging but should be more. Plus the panel's design leaves a bit to be desired. I tried to angle the outside bars in so it wasn't lighting the walls of my veg cab and ended up breaking them and had to take it apart and rewire it. You can also order them individually from Mouser with the IDC connection so you don't need to solder for about 10 or 11 bucks a piece I think.

I'm still surprised the F3s don't veg well. I'm putting some in my new cabinet but that will be for mothers. Anyway I hope they do their thing in flower for ya 5J!

Edit; had to fix some shit, I'm blazed.

I love my LED. Unless you buy some cheaply made garbage, LED is not a waste of money. Back off the nutrients and slow the water cycle as the plants do not transpire as much as they do under HPS.

Mine is a Blackdog Platinum XL-U, but I would think that as long as you buy quality systems, they should all perform excellent.

Definitely need the extra blue for vegging.

Since you took them apart and fixed them ...

How hard is it to move the outer bars inwards so they are closer together say like 6" apart ?

^^^Not tryin' to pick a fight but it's not exactly the best time to call BD a "quality system" around here. I think some people would disagree with your statement.

THE TAO TRONICS 240w does the same thing!!!!! WATCHOUT FOR THESE CHINESE FUCKERS YOUR HOUSE COULD BURN DOWN!!!!!

that is the fuckin truth guys, none of my american assembled leds do this crap.

It's not impossible there's just no elegant way to do it. Basically the last thing they did in production was to add a layer of foam to waterproof the F1's connections which includes the wiring. You would have to dig up the foam or cut the wires inside the endbars. I got messed up when I unscrewed one screw on each side of the grow bars then I angled those bars in a little. That worked for a few days but then I tried to angle them in more and the wire broke. Had to dig out the foam to find the wire and ultimately take it apart to rewire it. It works, and I can slide the beams closer together now but it looks like shit.

Edit.If you want to move them closer you would also have to drill some new holes in the end beams in order to screw the grow bars back into it. Not too hard but I just wanted to mention that too.

thanks for the answer, sounds a bit messy digging the wires out. too bad they did not have the foresight to make the bars adjustable.

fran your blackdog burnt up because they push their diodes way too hard and use average to below average quality parts.

^^^^^Fucking amazing how hot my Blackstars got at the end of their lives. Fastest 50,000 hours of my life. :-) .

Hey Lordg glad to see you around. I actually ended up cutting those bars in half and rewiring them to fit my veg cab. Those heatsinks are excellent for Illumite packages.. The package just slides right in. No screwing and the F1s use the IDC connection. It's digging up the foam that sucks. Looking forward to your journal.
