Vote for Ron Paul-----Great idea

And Romney??? Every time I see him speak, I hear him say "Well...I mostly hunted varmints, you know" (when asked about his claim to be a hunter, and never having a hunting license).

Chuck Baldwin. is a decent candidate. Ron Paul would be a decent candidate if his name wasn't Ron Paul and he wasn't so damned old. Besides, I think we need him where he is right now. Someone has to keep Barney Frank in check.

Has Ron Paul ever flip flopped on any issue? Ever? You know exactly what you are going to get.
Not necessarily a good thing. Why vote for a president who's shown no willingness to ever change his mind ever regardless of what new information comes out?

I'm not sure why being pig headed is now a virtue.

ROTFLMAO... so he should start thinking like you? There is one BIG difference my friend, he wants us to follow the Constitution.
In all these posts, in all these threads, I have yet to see any arguments from your side calling for the government to adhere to it's Constitution.
Why is it when facing a spending cut, sorry... when facing a smaller increase in spending, the first thing out of their mouths (and not just Democrats) is SS recipients may not get their checks, veterans might not get their benefits, anything to scare people. They could cut some wasteful spending that would not hurt those on SS or veterans but they are dishonest elitists. They know better. We're all just here to pay more and more taxes to feed their habit.
If you have a friend addicted to heroin, do you give him more heroin and say, "you know, someday you're going to have to start cutting back on this stuff"? Not if you're a real friend. You make them stop and get help. DO THE RIGHT THING!

Oh, so the more you change your mind, the wiser you are? ROTFLMAO, yet again.
I gotta thank all of you, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.
Where do you come up with this crap? You made it up didn't you?

a wise man and a fool were walking for hours together.
they both talked of many things.
at the end of their walk the person to learn something was the wise man,
and the person to not have learned anything was the fool.

Yeah, Yeah, I understand what you're trying to say but can you see that particular saying cannot be true all the time? A wise man has to be able and willing to change his mind when necessary but changing your mind just for the sake of change is idiotic. You would do well to practice what you preach.
Ron Paul doesn't need to change his mind about the way our government is being hijacked, he's right and all your insults and all your snide little remarks can't change that fact. You are obviously reading the wrong books. A perfect example of why government should not be involved in education.

Not saying that. But do you ever change your mind on anything based off of learning new information? I do all the time. Was Ron Paul born with the knowledge of the universe? That's doubtful.

So boasting about his inability to learn information and form new opinions isn't exactly a great selling point for me.

There is one BIG difference my friend, he wants us to follow the Constitution.
And the founders intended on it being a living document. Ron Paul wants us to have a government based on what life was like in the 18th century. No thank you.

In all these posts, in all these threads, I have yet to see any arguments from your side calling for the government to adhere to it's Constitution.
You guys hide behind one very strict interpretation of the constitution. Just because I interpret the constitution differently than you does not make you pro-constitution and me anti-constitution. That's just silly. I see the constitution as a living document. I think we should proceed based on the intent of the constitution. You think we should live based on a code that was meant to apply to life in the 18th century.

Why is it when facing a spending cut, sorry... when facing a smaller increase in spending, the first thing out of their mouths (and not just Democrats) is SS recipients may not get their checks, veterans might not get their benefits, anything to scare people.
Because that is the direct result of shutting down the government. That's not an opinion or a point of view. It's a fact.

They could cut some wasteful spending that would not hurt those on SS or veterans but they are dishonest elitists. They know better. We're all just here to pay more and more taxes to feed their habit.
Or we could stop cutting services to the middle class in order to give those who need help the least a bigger tax cut.

If you have a friend addicted to heroin, do you give him more heroin and say, "you know, someday you're going to have to start cutting back on this stuff"? Not if you're a real friend. You make them stop and get help. DO THE RIGHT THING!
That's rhetoric, not reality. Government spending as a percentage of GDP is only a couple of percentage points higher than it was under conservative hero, Reagan.

You know what is at it's lowest point in that same time period? Tax revenue. Since the unaffordable Bush tax cuts tax revenue has been WAY down.

We aren't addicted to spending, that is a conservative marketing campaign. What we are really addicted to is tax cuts to the wealthy and major corporations.

Spout all the rhetoric you want, that doesn't change the actual data. Statistically, you're rhetoric is empty and the opposite of the truth. Government spending as a percentage of GDP was about 23% under Reagan, even in this terrible recession it's only 25%. Tax revenue's at their contemporary peak under Clinton were ~21%, since the Bush tax cuts they dropped all the way down to ~14%.

Basically, the talking points you're reciting down match up with the reality of our situation.

You've been marketed a bill of goods by the wealthy and large corporations. You're being scammed. What they are saying is a pack of lies. It's sad you've been so fooled by them that you want to put their greed over what is best for the actual people in this country. Open your eyes man.

Good thing the Constitution rarely ever changes, cuz thats what Ron Paul bases his votes and political action on. What you advocate is that ignoring laws is ok, as long as someone is getting a handout. Murder is wrong, if I change my mind tomorrow and start killing people, do you think I am all the wiser?
