For just about as long as I can remember, I have had visual snow, tracers and spatial distortions when sober. I didn't realize this was abnormal until after I got involved in this community. Quite often, when I look at the sky, a wall, a tree, any object really, it seems to be moving away from me, stretching space. I also see image ghosting, auras, very subtly melting text and, as said, tracers. When I close(d) my eyes, I can(could) see moving shapes and colors. It's also worth noting that I have a bizarre, low intensity set of synesthesias. Yes, a lot of it is HPPD at this point, but it has always been there, and only intensified post-psychedelic use.

Any ideas as to what causes this?

You're a living source of LSD so foretold in the lysergamonicon (necronomicon) ushering in a golden age of melt face.
:bigjoint: That's me! The human acid. Or, more accurately, DMT. Mammals actually produce DMT naturally, though levels are below even a threshold dose. Maybe some of us produce it more readily than others?

The visual snow is normal. Infact it's a very good natural response. You still have some young eyes. The snow is just smaller particles that are ALWAYS floating around. Unless you are in a.completely sterile environment. It is mainly comprised of dust, organisms, and yes in some instances radiant energy. I've spoken to others about this years ago. Many of us are tought to ignore it depending upon your environment. The wavy trees and landscapes can be an occurrence of visualising auras. But more desciption would be needed.

Basically, the distortions are along the lines of what one sees in, say, starwars when they engage "hyperdrive" and the stars stretch. But toned down. The visual snow is a markedly less natural variety; usually repeating patterns, like neon eyes, playing cards, plant cells etc. overlayed onto my vision. They are nearly transparent, but always tiny and colorful. The auras are basically areas of moving color, almost like a solar corona.

These days, as a result of HPPD as best I can tell (I have had some extremely heavy trips), I also get color saturation and some minor visual flowyness and crispness, like a low dose of acid.

She never touched psychedelics. I've been talking to her about them, and she is clearly very new to the concept of anything hallucinogenic...
That's weird I've had my eyes fuck up on me a little especially when tired but not seeing patterns or cards and shit.

Come to think of it you normal is like better than me tripping I never seen no playing cards. Lol

Heheh. I suppose it is pretty weird....and pretty cool. I'd put my normal on par with the effects of 50mcg LSD (that is, taking 50mcg basically doubles background trippyness, but doesn't come close to what I consider a trip). Heaviest trip I ever had was a bunch of fresh morning glory. Now, morning glory is generally a pretty weak psychedelic, and really fairly "dirty". But the fresh ones contain a fair bit of LST, which is much closer to LSD, structurally speaking, than LSA. The net of it is that I took about 450 seeds expecting a nice, relatively heavy trip. What I got was complete ego death and something like 12 hours of immersion in a fractal tunnel. 12 REAL WORLD hours. Time was distorted to hell though, so it seemed like the lifespan of the universe.

Man I did them them Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds same chemical as Morning Glory just stronger and it was horrible felt like suck a dirty trip and I thought I was going to die cause I was sweating like a bastard and fainted. But not much of a trip nothing like shrooms but all I have done other than shrooms is ecstasy way back when they may have been real it was great so must have been real and cough syrup which I would put with HBW seeds in the dirty trip.

I want to do acid but yeah only place I can find that is the darknet and I bought bunk DMT off their regardless of good reviews may have been cut cause it did something but more than likely a knock off chemical.

Yeah, HBWR is realllly nasty in terms of side effects. Morning glory isn't much better; the trip was accompanied by extreme nausea, vasoconstriction, body load and blackouts. This was really trippy though. I view it as a worthwhile, if uncomfortable, experiment with an under-appreciated natural entheogen. Much like dextromethorphan or A. Muscaria, however, it isn't the kind of thing I would recommend to anyone without having a fair knowledge of their past substance use. I had used a lot of other dirty but unique substances before this, so I was prepared for the rollercoaster-ride. But again. It isn't like acid, in that you really can't take it expecting a perfect paradise of hallucination (given set, setting, a sitter and a strong mind)--the body-load really makes it far less recreational.

Hey man, your post made me react, because I kinda reconnize myself in ...
since as long as I remember I had different visual distorsions, like while looking at an object and having the impression it's getting smaller, going far away from me ... I had also this particulat snow thing as well ...

All those pratically stopped during my adolescence, but still remain under certain conditions, like during a job interview if I'm not comfortable, the face of my interlocutor may start to stretch space kinda strong
The snow is way more rare, but if I go outside, very high, in a sunny day, I'll have a kinda new look on the world, and I'll begin to see those macro particules floating in the space ...

Funny thing, I've always thought it's normal, or just didn't thought about it till I read your post, so do I have a schizophrenic background ? :p

just to make sure, never used psychadelics nor alcohol before those visuals, neither was my pregnant mom ...

Have a good day everyone :bigjoint:
