I honestly have not grown with the 450 I plugged it in and I could visibly tail at the Viper was brighter and did not put off as much heat so that is what I use in the second closet . The 450 put off considerably more heat than the viper 600

I’ve just had bad luck with quality so far so just curious if switching to hps might help really looking for some of them frosty buds and haven’t been able to dial it in to there yet

High quality & frosty... I was only trying to help suggesting something different. Hope you eventually get it right. :)

I think ViparSpectra are at least one of the more honest companies. They listed the 450w at 420 PPFD at 18”, which I believe was reflected by my grow. They’re alright for what they are, but I believe COBs and QBs, being roughly in the same price range and having better PPFD, are the better deal and the logical way to go.

They aren’t as big and full as my COB grow but I think they slow down a bit when you change them to a blurple style light ..... that is just an observation. The last ones did this too but they bounced back and like I said the end result was nearly as big as my COB flowers.... but the blurple flowers had more trichs.
