Viparspectra LED COB mod

Hey everyone I just wanted to show you guys a mod I did on my Viparspectra PAR blurple lights to turn them into COB panels. The light in the picture is a viparspectra par 300w (~130 actual watt) blurple panel and the COBs are CREE CXB3590 4000k 72v 90cri. The power supply in this light runs about 180v @~.7a so I linked the two chips in parallel so each chip is running at about 65w. I made a new aluminum plate to mount them using .125” aluminum sheet stock with the dimensions of 12”x7”. I measured the hole locations as well as I could and transferred them to the new plate and drilled all the necessary holes (and a few I didn’t end up needing/using). I mounted the original heat sinks onto the new plate and everything went together very well without any issues. I had some red JST connectors so I even used those to connect to the stock wiring for a seamless install. I did this mod on both of my 300s and I’m going to do it with my 600 model as well. Thanks for looking and just drop questions if you have them. If anyone has accurate data on their g/w efficiency using COBs I’m curious so if you can post that I’d appreciate it.

I have 2 600 viparspectra lights. I grow in a 3x3 tent. Very clean installation. Any suggestions for a mod that can do both veg and bloom? Are the cobs any cooler than the original setup? Sorry for all the questions but I’m very interested in switching if it helps with temperature. Great job!
