he didnt shit on anything. if it werent for what they did back in those days we might not have the chance to play our games in these days
you realy believe this crap. Nobody serves their country by going to the army, that ship hasn't sailed since WWII, wars are for the financial and political gains of rich old men.

Dude you know nothing, I live in a country that once upon a time used the same mental engineering on us the population, from youth to death.
We collected coins for the army and placed them on a line for miles down the road one year....

Then poof, the political system changed, conscription was ended, and noone wanted to be associated with the old anymore... actualy its asif all the old guys running the show dissapeared....they just went to work for the new masters.

Army's exploit the poor and serves as a testbed for weapons that are ultimately always eventualy used by civilian police against its own citizens in dissent.
I have no doubt there are some awesome guys you know who have offered their services to the army. But please escape from the bondage the system has over your mind.

ANC, it's a tough call. Military organizations rely on an unbroken tradition of discipline and service. Societies, nations rely on the readiness of their military to go forth and stand in harm's way. There's no other way up to and at this point. I can appreciate being angry at the corrupt old men who misuse the military, but for every one such there is a principled general who refused the reins of power when they were within reach. A sports metaphor might be appropriate: hate the managers, not the players.

So i will add my tiny voice now thanking those who served in the baking dust or the freezing wet or the leech-crawling muggy jungle. cn

I want to chime in.

To any vet or military personnel reading this thread;

Thank you for serving your country, I'm sorry some of you get treated the way you do upon returning home.

Now that that's outta the way here's a post just for FAB.

Your an over sensitive ass that could use a swift kick in your smarten the fuck up. I've read this entire thread and while I'm thankful that vets have served so I can live the way I do, your not the judge, jury or executioner of this thread and you yourself need to go over the whole thread again and see that your the one that derailed it, your the one (the only one) that's disruptive and 80% of this thread is people trying to calm you down so the thread can get back on track.

You sir can go fuck yourself and I sincerely hope that someday you can understand that your over sensitivity causes more issues than it defends.

i dont agree with wars not the reasons brhing them but the innocents which get caught in the crossfire, but what i always agree on is the fact that those people both men and women risk their arses and lives so we dont have to. if it wasnt for them after the great wars we would be speaking german and if it wasnt for them, right now we would be reading the koran and killing our family members in the name of some cult. our military both the usa and uk have been tasked with a job, most dont like it and some see it as pointless but non the less they go their and fight, get wounded and die for us and our freedom.

as for Vietnam i cant judge but i respect those men for taking on a fight in a country that is considered one of the hardest terrains to fight on.

i have respect for the military's jobs and tasks and the heros that die protecting us

You just have to ignore the people that piss you off like that, it's the net, no point in getting yourself worked up everytime.

On that note, I appreciate every war. Don't necessarily agree with some but I do appreciate all the soldiers that have that kind of courage, especially Vietnam, we got our asses handed to us but still coruages none the less and can see why some of them are like they are today.

/salute!

I'm completely opposed to the manner of the US intervention in that conflict - but I'm equally opposed to the way the veterans were treated when they came home. I will always respect anyone who manages to make it through hell still breathing.
