I scoop three parts perlite and one scoop of vermiculite.3:1
Some guys are growing with only perlite.
Vermiculite is getting hard to find.
I am gonna re-use the mix.
I'll just plant seeds in the old bucket.

Basically, you just treat it like a hydro grow?I am using AN nutes now after the bullshit Dutch master i tried and was a total waste of money!!I dont even have enough to do a grow now and will have to wait to get some more.I lost my ass in the housing market.

Hempy is pretty simple.

Mix your nutes to 400 or 500 and pH to 5.6-5.8

I let them get droopy before I water them.

They look sad.
but in a couple of hours they take off.

If you water them just right
there is no overflow.

Sometime you can take them into the bathtub
and give them a good RO flush.

I am feeding about 50% load
and then RO only

I'm lazy sometimes I don't feel like mixing up nutes
so I just give them RO.

Sometimes I give them the leftover nutes
when I am flushing out the space shuttle.

I am pretty blaw zey' about my hempys
since they are just some mothers i started a way back.

I am just growing them out
to test the strains
and get a little smoke between harvest.

They get second hand light and second hand nutes..

This Northernberry is very hardy and doing great.
Flowers are forming.

Cool the site is working for me again.
Anyways Db,hempy is like a hydro soil grow with the res in the bottom of the buckets.I'll be trying it myself here in a few weeks. My babys are just popping up.Oh,and yesss more porn, more more porn .

Here is the Vicious porn.

I wish i could of let this mother get a lot bigger.
i just don't have enough lights.

Hempy bucket is a container
with a 7/16 hole two inches from the bottom,
to give it a small rez,
and perlite and vermiculite mixed as a soil less medium.

According to hempy
you mix one scoop of vermiculite
with three scoops of perlite.

Use hydro nutes and RO
pH adjust the nutes before watering.
let the plant dry out well between watering.
Start a hempy grow journal.

Hempy worked great for me. The journal is still in my signature.

I used 100% perlite, AN Monkey Juice grow and bloom a&b

Almost 700g from 2 plants - 1 PPP, 1 AK47

Hey VV...I want a cut too

Drink your oil camel fuckers,
I'm not burning any this year.

I have parked my car for 2009,
and maybe longer.
.
First of all, nice plant! It looks really healthy. But, if you're pissed off about oil consumption you should be upset at America and Canada. Canada produces more oil than the middle east and America uses more oil than the rest of the world combined. And, American investors in bed with JP Morgan/Chase/Barclays etc. are the ones that steal from us at the pump by scamming the supply vs. demand system. The Canadian and Middle Eastern oil producers get roughly the same price for gas in 2008 as they did in 1998. Food for thought...

When I water with RO only
I do not adjust the pH of RO
Why not?

It is impossible to pH adjust RO

First, you should not put your pH probe into RO, ever.

Second, once you add anything to RO
it is not RO anymore.

Third, if you add Ro only to your rez,
it does not need to be adjusted
if the pH is already correct.

RO will not change the pH of your nutes.

RO has no free Hydrogen ions.

H2O

All the Hydrogen is bound by Oxygen
thus it is pure water.

pH is the measure of free ions of Hydrogen.
The the H in pH=
potential of Hydrogen Ions

If you place your pH probe into water that has been de-ionized
your probe will loose ions that it uses as a reference fluid
and this will screw up your probe.

Do not try to pH adjust RO.

It is impossible.

And you will ruin your probe.

Not sure I understand what you mean by this. Let's put this in the context of traditional hydro. You would add the RO FIRST to the rez, and THEN add nutes. So how can PH be already correct?

I think he means topping up your rez with RO. It'll just assume the pH of the solution already in your rez.

Hey Earl, I just updated; check it out.

You too, THSeaman. :weed:

That is what I mean.

If you add RO to a hempy bucket
nothing will happen to the pH
the plant gets water and is happy.

If you try to pH adjust the RO first
your hempy bucket will be out of whack.

Same in DWC or aero.

Always add RO to your nutes ,
to fill your rez to the full mark,
and then measure the pH

You have to replace the water that the plant has consumed,
before you measure the tds or the pH in a hydro rez.

Hempy Buckets just need moisture replaced
and RO is what you should use.

Hey Vic,
which strain did you give Caligurl ?
She is calling it "big girl"
but I don't know which cross that would be.

Yeah, I get what you're saying now. You were just referring to the water only days when adding RO, gotcha. I thought you meant that you didn't PH adjust when using RO water with your nutes.

But thank you for learning me about RO water not having ions and absorbing PH in rez, I didn't know that and I probably would have PH adjusted it if I ever decide to use it in the future, which I probably will. Is there a particular RO system you recommend or are they all pretty much the same?
