Vertical SCRoG'ing help and idea.

I'm planning to start a micro grow, testing out a sufficient way for myself to get a small but quality yield.
I plan to use a 160W CFL Dual Spectrum light and put it in the middle of a grow box (1.5²), then with two plants, attach a wire mesh to the pots and place them either side of the light (I plan on having the light hanging at the middle.)
I am trying out my first grow on Super Lemon Haze, and to keep the size of the plant relatively small, I plan to induce 12/12 lighting either as soon as my seeds sprout, or after a short amount of time letting the plant veg.
I was just wondering, would it be a good idea as soon as the seed sprouts, to put the plant sideways so it starts to grow upwards towards the mesh, making it easier to keep the plant growing with the mesh and making the leaves face it and tie it that, which then when put vertically, the whole leaf faces the light.
I was thinking if I do this with the first node, I could maintain and promote this sort of growth through tying later branches as they grow to the mesh.
I would like to know if what I am doing is worth trying, and for any advice on what's the best thing for me to do.
I'm new to growing, so if anything I say seems stupid, I apologize. I also apologize if I have posted this in the wrong section
Thank you
