Hi rollitup!

I want to try vertical growing in my micro grow box (60x50x35cm), with 70w hps & cooltube.

There will be 4 plants, 2x Cr3am Caramel by SS, and 2x W4ppa by PS.
After some days in plastic cups, now the plants are inside the definitive pot. Only one pot (20 liters) for 4 plants.
Above the pot there is a wood structure, with plastic grid:

This schema explain how i will proceed in flowering:

Now, during vegetative period, the light will be a UFO led 150w, for keep them compact and cover the grid till 1/3 of the total height, and then switch to 12/12.

New-born in the vege-box:

--->

And now in the final pot:

Soil composed of:

-50% biobizz all mix
-30% coco fiber(u-gro)
-20% perlite

After 3 days, watering with 0,5ml of Fish-Mix in 0,5 liter of water.

The UFO led has been sobstituted with the 70w hps, without cooltube.

And I start to tie the plants on the grid, and put a met full of water and argil for increase humidity.

Added an axial fan under the light:

Sorry buddy I see many mistakes here that need correction, if you are an experienced grower then you would not be making them, better to stick to convention, at least that way you may just get some bud, anyways I see the 70w HPS as a source of heat more so than light, just check that lumen output....?

Can you tell me about the "many mistakes"?

This 70w hps produces 137.5 lumens/watt = 9625 lumens.

temps are under 28° and humidity around 50%.

Hey Bella!!

My only question is: Have you separated your ladies' roots somehow? You don't want them to compete with each other and eventually some of them die!

I like your setup, clean and clever, but I don't wanna see them ladies touching your hps!!

Edit: Is it really safe to use Fish Mix and Bio Grow together? From what I've read (I'm using BioBizz too) the one replaces the other..

Cheers bro, wish you luck!

Hey CoolDude!!
There is only one pot, without barriers.. I don't think some of them will die, maybe one plant could receive more nuts that another..

Thanks for the appreciation..
My ladies will not touch the hps because i'm training them on the grid :)

your gonna fry that fan by spraying it with water lol it didnt chop the leaves off? or your fingers? :)you should put the cool tube back on and put the fan at the top sucking the air out. thats my suggestion, but i know people do what they wanna do. hope it works out for you..the plants are lookin good though .good luck

Ciao kushdaddy..

The fan don't touch the water.. and I keep the leaves away from the fan..

The fan in under the light, and above the water, because in this way the R.H. have increase by 15-20%.

The cooltube has been removed because it reduce the lumens, and temps and RH are ok also without it.. maybe next run i will use a 150w inside the cooltube..

Ciao!

i got an idea for your next one, use whats called a "chiller" i think. have an air intake tube pointing down into a the pan of water, that way you can have the fan on top like i suggested, but not sure how you would integrate something like that with the little space you have. just food for thought.

I must say it is different than anything I've seen or read about. If it does great and produces what you are looking for, consider it a success. If it goes the other way, mark it up as experimental testing. Good luck :joint::hump:

This is an awesome diy set up!! living an learning is all apart of the experiment, couple of errors youll figure out along the way as you dial in ur system and max out the space.

uè paesà, sempre bello trovare italiani su forum internazionali :)

L'obiettivo finale è ovviamente il grammo per watt, ma è più un punto di riferimento, non penso di arrivarci al primo tentativo. Ciao!

The final target is the 1 g/w, but probably it will remain a benchmark. I need more than one run for optimise the setup. Ciao!

Dude I love the setup. It could easily be translated into a larger scale...giving me ideas haha. Looking forward to some frosty nugs
