vermont times when to harvest?

Hey its my 2nd time growing.So I've picked off some buds on my plants and I'm wondering if I should extend the season any longer. Being in vermont, i'm happy to avoid a frost till now, yet I want to keep growing for a couple more weeks cause the bagseed I'm using looks mostly sativa. I took a picture of some trichromes and if ya could give me some advice what ya think about the trichromes that would be awesome... should I let them keep growing?

From those pics the trichs look pretty dark already but it's hard to tell without real closeup pics. How does it smoke? There's nothing like testing out the buzz to decide if it's ready!

yah thanks for the response. smokes pretty well i'm thinking it's got some bubblegum in it or something. I was hoping to just use the zoom on my camera 12 mega pixel 8x zoom buts its still kinda blurry as you can see in the photos above. any other thoughts?
