Venting a 1000w in a small space

I'm basing my design off that article in HighTimes, "Big Yields Small Spaces". The thing is I won't have the budget for an A/C unit...Would 2 6" inline fans for intake and 2 for outtake be enough to cool down the small place. Instead of the 3x3 space in the article, I thought about making it 3x4 just to give me a little room. But, that will cut down on my watts per sq/ft.

If anyone is familiar w/ the article or has an idea of what the heat build up would be, pls help.

You're temp is going to get very high in that space. You're going to need to use an air-cooled light and have an active intake and exhaust w/ a carbon filter on the exhaust. This still may not be enough.

Do you already have the light? If not, I'd suggest going w/ a 600w.

i run 816 watts in a basement space just a bit bigger than that, and it can take a lot to keep temps below 90f when the AC isn't on

that is with good ventilation

if you want to pull it off it's going to take a cool tube, additional ventilation, probably lots of training to the plant/s

Thanks for the input... I haven't picked up the light yet, so I'll get the 600 instead. I was worried that the 1000 would be to much.

you will find that the 600 is a wonderful bulb.

that is all you need to produce premo buds like any pro

it actually has a higher lumen to watt ratio than a 1000 does, so you are getting more bang for your buck

ok cool...I can live w/ that. I did'nt want to go out and buy the 1000 watter. And then run into heat problems, cuz its to big. Thanks for the help.

um this is sort of a thread jack ... but anyway you will need a ceiling fan or a strong fan ducted to the ceiling ... more likely an AC would be needed.

Even my air cooled hood + 400w MH in my 2x4x7 tent was going 85 degrees and higher without A/C. So 100% not a 1000w and maybe even a 600w will be pushing it. My .02
