Arite I have 2 fans set up one for intake and one for outtake problem is its not osciliating so I hope I can work around it. Now on to the main question when do you need to start having the fans on? I'm just starting em in a fish tank and its all covered with foil bla bla I don't need to hear how the fish tank won't work I have listened to complete assholes just tearing into me I just want to know when to turn on the fans thanks

a fish tank what are you fucking dumb?
just joking...i hope it works for yea. i start the fan right when they poke out of the dirt i just have it on a low speed then when they get bigger i turn on the fan higher so you get a thick stem

Sounds like the fans you have are simply meant for intake/outake. Therefore, keep them on all the time as long as you want fresh air entering. Second, my buddy thought he could grow in a fish tank a couple years ago. He hooked a huge battery up to a computer fan for air intake, and glued tin foil to the inside as reflectors. Never the less now that fish tank is used by me for my turtles, and my buddy hasn't ever tried his hand at growing since. lol

a real big fish tank mabey just make sure you put the plants in containers in the tank dont plant directly in the tank you will get no drainage and end up with soup
