Ventilation Question

So I am setting up my veg room right now and have no intention on using CO2 so I am circulating fresh air with one fan blowing in and one fan blowing out. I just finished and when I tested it, it appears that there is more air coming in because my plastic door is bowing out. I am wondering what would be best; Equal in and out, More air coming in, or more air being sucked out. I dont know any terminology here so lamen terms would be appreciated.

I think you want more air being sucked out than being blown in, it creates what is called negative pressure. At least I think so - correct me if I'm wrong

More air going out than is coming in- negative pressure. When you have negative pressure in your room then any cracks you have constantly have air being pull in through them instead out out so you dont have odors escaping (helpful during flowering). As far as i know most people aim for negative pressure.

okay well as i said this is a veg/mother/clone room and since it is in my basement, i have no worries of smell at all. Would that be the only reason for the negative pressure or is there something im missing? it seems that with "positive pressure" my temps are controlled a little better but that remains to be fully tested. By the way these are the exact same fans. round about 100cfm in a space that is 4L x 2.5w x 4H which is around 40 cubic feet. This should be more than enough circulation to have constant fresh air.

You should almost always aim for negative pressure. It prevents air from building up, creating hot pockets. Negative pressure evacuates more air than come in so it's constantly pulling it from the path of least resistance, which is the air in the closet first then the air through the intake next.

Perfect and spot on.
