Ventilation help with carbon filter and fan

Quick question
Have a 1800cm x 1100cm x 600 grow cupboard
Have a carbon filter + fan
Planning on chaining the filter to the top of the grow cupboard
the only flow of air in the cupboard would be a small strip at the bottom of it ( where cables etc can run)
So the filter would suck air etc making a negative airspace causing air on the outside of the cupboard to be drawn through the gap at the bottom?
I was wondering instead of making another hole at the top to vent the air out after going through t he filter that i could run some ducting down through the gap a the bottom into the room?.
Would this work
First time grower any help would be great thanks
Also Should i suck the air through the filter or blow it through the filter

( Cupboard is in my room so want to make it least suspicious as possible so really dont want to much outside the cupboard. Running it with a 400 hps / mh light )

If your going to suck the air through the filter you want it in the grow room. If your going to blow through the filter you want it outside. Personally id have it inside and have the ducting out the top but thats just me.

What im meaning is i am sucking through the carbon filter which is located at the top of my cuboard. the fan is next to it.
I was asking if i can run my ducting from the top of the cupboard down to the bottom where there is a gap ( where passive inflow comes in and the cables) then round the back of the cupboard venting it into the room. will this work?
Thanks
