Ventilation for box/cabinet

Hey guys, I just recently joined the forum and am very new to growing but have been lovin' maryjane for a long time. I haven't started anything yet, but plan to.

Anyways, my question is about ventilation. Is it absolutely needed to have an intake/outtake fan in a grow box/cabinet. Or would having a fan haning from the top blowing down be good enough? Planning to use something like this http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/3/HouseHome/Furniture/ShelvingDrawerUnits/PRD~0680699P/Sauder%2BMultimedia%2BStorage%2BCabinet.jsp to grow a plant or two. I wanna get all my shit right before I start anything. I've already read about lighting and nutes.

yes it is nessesary for you to have fresh air for your plants. It all depends on what you are useing for lights for floros you can use computer fans one for exaust and one for intake. if you are useing hid they let off alot of heat and your gonna need too look into inline fans. good luck
