if i read the law correctly....theres no limit on how many vegging plants one can have.... Could a caregiver go into a business of just selling vegging plants..to other caregivers... at say 4 to 8 weeks vegged...supercropped, lst and fimmed... that would be somthing worth paying for... a plant you can take right into flowering and easly get 6oz to 1lb off off? thoughts comments..

That policy will change before the year is out. The State doesn't want you doing this and they will regulate the number of non-flowering plants to detour this kind of operation. You can't help others grow. Pushing the limits of the law is just going to get you in trouble and they will make a example out of you. Get your 5 patients and stay clean.

the government has their hand in the cookie jar now. Controlling most weed at the medical level... They own the pharmaceutics Companies that will produces it. And they own the major stocks in our insurance companies that will pay for our use. REGULATORS ! So now the governments will be the biggest producers in the world. O yea they already r!lmao. When these new laws happen like schedule 2 marijuana . Just watch the government will increase jail time for illegal grower, sales, ECT. This way they can regulate the game down to the last penny . So what u want to do. Do it now whyll the little ppl hv the upper hand. ;-)

Who said you can donate clones? I agree with you that we should be able to do so, but the policy makers have no intention to let us exchange clones or seeds. They will continue to define "incidental" every year based on what they feel we are abusing. They do expect growers to be self sufficient and most future changes to the program will reflect that.

There is some acknowledgement that transfers of live plants will occur as the original law specifies (and i'm fairly certain it was retained in 1296) that patients and caregivers can transport plants to the patient/caregiver's home be cultivated.

i ask this cus im thinking of moving to the state...my other option was denver or arizona somewhere..as its a newly fresh state for medical laws... keeping with the 5 patients... 6 plants per patients... in a 30 plant room i could achieve over 50 lbs with the right grow setup... does this state have the demand for overages... id like to convert everything into oil.... Phoenix tears aka forced CO2 extraction and transfer by viles... thoughts?

doesn't this say different?

Sec. B-14. 22 MRSA §2422, sub-§14, as repealed and replaced by PL 2009, c. 631, §19 and affected by §51, is amended to read:

14. Prepared marijuana. "Prepared marijuana" means the dried leaves and flowers of the marijuana plant that require no further processing and any mixture or preparation of those dried leaves and flowers, including but not limited to tinctures, ointments and other preparations, but does not include the seeds, stalks, leaves that are disposed of and not dried for use and roots of the plant and does not include the ingredients, other than marijuana, in tinctures, ointments or other preparations that include marijuana as an ingredient or food or drink prepared with marijuana as an ingredient for human consumption.

I read it in a DHHS FAQ and there was some discussion about it here a while ago. DHHS says it has to do with their legal limitations as regulators. Since hash and hash oil are illegal under different statutes than marijuana they can't regulate it or something along those lines. Since there is no specific law outlawing tinctures and ointments containing cannabis then DHHS can include in the regulatory purview.

I did a search on all the law's amendments and all, and I couldn't find anything, via skim reading or key word searching. I'll have to talk to a lawyer about that, frankly bubbe hash is one of the best forms of the med I know of and I sudgest it to my patients all the time (the ones who don't mind the smoking aspect)..

That's more than enuf for me. I got two, 18 plant rooms for me and my two patients, generally one in flower and one veg. But then I usually have 18 babies started for the next veg..so more than enuf for me.

We had this discussion already in another thread :) I am with the camp that says the substance I call hash is allowed. Using bubble bags, what I end up with is dried marijuana leaves, and nothing but dried marijuana leaves. Nothing but water has touched them.

I agree that hash is a better form for medical use in many cases. Bubble hash and particularly honey oil have fewer solids in them so the smoke is less damaging. The FAQ that had the specific information about bubblehash or honey oil doesn't seem to be up anymore, but it was very clear about the status of extracts such as hash/oil not being legal. For clarification call on the matter i'd John Thiele. His office number is 287-5810.

cerberus: i'm not mb, but i've found that using a smaller diameter pipe than come from the usual honey-bee style extractors is the key to making it really good... you will get a better extraction from as smaller tube, don't ask me why... good luck...
