Veg time?

How long do you generally want to let your plants veg for? I'm growing with a 400W HPS light, from seeds. No special method (i.e. SoG, ScroG, etc.), just big ol' plants. The strain is White Widow.

you can flip the lights whenever you want. hell you can start 12/12 from seed if you want. its about you and how much space/height you are working with!!!


you generally want to wait a lil longer if starting from seed. i would wait until preflowers...but you can flip to 12/12 like after the 3-6 nodes

I assume that the marginal rate of production decreases after a certain point, I'm just curious when that point is, assuming that there is no vertical or horizontal constraint.

you can veg for fucking months on end if you wanted to


just keep in mind you will need the space/height also ample amount of lighting as she doubles to triples in size and will need hella light in flower.

How tall are they now and how much room do you have before the plants hit the light?

you can veg them for ever if u want just keep the water and nutrians at the right levels

i could try it i will get a few new seed and i will try and grow it for 5 years then i will put it in to flowering

they will be 15 yrs tall when your done

Right, I understand that there is no real physical limit to how long you can veg for, but there must be some sort of formula that nets you the greatest amount of marijuana for the amount of time that you spend growing it.

So what's the highest value for x in this equation:

weight of marijuana/veg time=x

a 400w will only get you only so much penetration to the lower bud sites. there are recommended heights for a 400w light, i remember running into some numbers i think it was like 16-20 inches i think. search for it on google.

yea it can double or even triple its size while flowering. if u dont have enough space finally then ur fucked

trust me i've got a massive house and a huge loft

4 weeks minimum is recommended..............peace

i think the loft is 25mX10m
and the highest part is 2.5m

so if i could fill about 64m2 which is 8mX8m

then 2m high

its about 128m2 and if i can manage to get lights inside the bush i could get a massive yeild

Ideally you should vegetate your plants till they show sex or preflower. This can take as little as 28 days under a 400w HID using 24/0 light schedule.
