Veg defoliation experiment

Not a ton of info but needless to say I wanted to try defoliating one plant while leaving another plant alone. My goal was to defoliate throughout the plants entire life, however, the plant that was defoliated was far behind the other plants in veg that were the same age/strain. The plant was shorter in height, had less shoots developing and the nodes were spaced further apart.

Just my my experience with the strain I am running, thought is post a little info about it. Looked overall less developed in my opinion. Still very healthy, just less developed. I ended up stopping the defoliation process due to lack of growth and just let her go in flowering.

What???? You quit raping your plant before it could outgrow its sister. Shame on you Sir, turn in your defoliators card at the door. GOOD DAY !!!!!

We actually are currently testing a side by side defoliation and a control kind of like you are talking about. Same age, started at the same height, cut from the same mother and no other techniques used besides defoliation. We are sticking to it until the end. Our defoliated girl is shorter from stunting, but the non defoliated control's nodes are far more spaced out than the defoliated one. And so far in flowering the defoliated ones lower branches have better developed buds than the non defoliated one. However the non defoliated one seems to still have more bud overall. The link to our grow is in my signature if you would like to see it. The defoliation experiment girls are named Mary Kate and Ashley if you just want to scan through and see them. I will be putting up new pics tomorrow.
