trying to change a Good thing............... as always..

FORGET ABOUT VAPING CABANAS .. IT DOES NOT VAPE ANYWAY IT BURNS
THERE IS NO DEVICE ON THE MARKET THAT WILL ACHIEVE VAPING FOR POT!!!

MMYA! :)

On August 23, Illinois’s Department of Public Health reported a case of death likely related to the use of e-cigarettes or vaping. Vaping implies the inhaling of vapor produced by an e-cigarette or another device, such as a vape pen. These devices contain cartridges or pods filled with nicotine, chemicals, and dried cannabis leaves. They can also contain derivatives made with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). THC is the psychoactive compound found in cannabis. In contrast, CBD is the non-psychoactive compound.

First vaping-related death

The death reported in Illinois was the first to be allegedly caused by vaping. According to Illinois’s health department, 22 people aged 17–38 have experienced respiratory illness after using e-cigarettes or vaping.

The Illinois Department of Public Health requested the CDC’s (US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) help in investigating the reported cases. The CDC is now investigating 193 potential cases of illness involving e-cigarettes or vaping reported by 22 states between June 28th and August 20th.

CDC director Robert R. Redfield said, “We are saddened to hear of the first death related to the outbreak of severe lung disease in those who use an e-cigarette or ‘vaping’ devices. CDC’s investigation is ongoing. We are working with state and local health departments and the FDA to learn the cause or causes of this ongoing outbreak.”

However, Gregory Conley, President of the American Vaping Association, blamed the THC black market for the recently reported cases. He said, “Each day of this crisis brings more evidence that street vapes containing THC or other illegal drugs are responsible for these illnesses, not nicotine vaping products.”

Is the cannabis industry concerned?
Vaping has gained popularity recently. Moreover, the common perception is that vaping is an effective method of quitting tobacco smoking. In particular, young people are increasingly using JUULs, e-cigarettes shaped like a USB flash drive. Tobacco giant Altria (MO) has a 35% stake in Juul Labs, which manufactures JUUL. Altria also has a 45% stake in cannabis company Cronos Group (CRON).

The CDC and many organizations have been very vocal about the potential harm caused by e-cigarettes and vaping. They’ve mainly criticized rising usage among teens and young individuals. According to the CDC, the number of young e-cigarette users surged by 1.5 million between 2017 and 2018.

Currently, there’s no proof establishing the harmful effects of vaping products. Some also believe that smoking cannabis is better than tobacco. However, the American Lung Association warns against smoking marijuana because of the risks it poses to the lungs.

Nonetheless, the rising allegations and warnings by reputed organizations and health departments could work against cannabis companies, which have been investing significantly in the vape market.

Companies exposed to the vape market
On its fourth-quarter conference call, Aphria (APHA) indicated that it expects vapes and concentrates to represent about 30% of the Canadian adult-use market by 2021. In June, Aphria collaborated with PAX Labs, a maker of cannabis vaporization devices. Under the deal, Aphria will offer premium cannabis extracts from Solei, RIFF, and its namesake Aphria brand in pods for the PAX Era device and platform. For more information on Aphria’s growth plans, read Aphria’s Strategic Growth Initiatives Drive APHA Stock.

In May, Cronos established Cronos Device Labs, a research and development center. This center will innovate vaporizer products for cannabinoid applications. In July, Cronos signed an agreement with Heritage Cannabis Holdings. Under the agreement, Heritage will provide cannabis extracts and services for vaporizer devices for the Canadian market. Altria’s investment in Cronos will also facilitate its growth in the vaping market.

Canopy Growth (WEED) (CGC) is expanding into the US vaporizer market with its recently announced distribution agreement with Greenlane Holdings. Under the partnership, Greenlane Holdings will distribute Canopy’s vaporizers. In 2018, Canopy acquired Storz & Bickel, a maker of medically approved vaporizers.

Tilray (TLRY) aims to grow in the hemp vape market via three subcategories. It said on its second-quarter earnings call that it would distribute its vape products as disposable vapes, interchangeable 510 thread, and cartridges that fit into the proprietary delivery systems made by others.

With Canada set to legalize cannabis vapes, beverages, and edibles this fall, any unfavorable news about vaping could affect cannabis companies’ growth prospects. The FDA is closely watching the vape market. So far, it has instructed four companies to remove 44 products. To learn more, read FDA Raids Vaping Products, Gets Them Off Shelf.

I feel like injuries are people wiring up their own batteries and blowing their nuts off in their pocket.

imho it’s the heat carrying viruses or resistant bacteria into the lungs of the young pups. They’re lungs aren’t used to all the inhaled substances that an older persons lungs are.

Salutations Digging,

Does the same concerns apply to the volcano vaping machine?
Well, 1st of all i find confusing to refer to the Volcano in terms of "vaping", which IMO is about e-Cigs instead of Vaporizers. Then i'd point out perhaps a more suitable question would be to ask if the Volcano can meet a consumer's own initial expectations, for example as a substitution for his cigarette/"joint" habit(s) - being aware the Hybrid now supports whip-based sessions.

As an ex-smoker myself i needed a long while before acquiring sufficient perspective to finally manage to break down various whole consumption methods (+ their associated rituals) in order to perform basic model comparisons. It turns out e-Cigarettes operate differently, for starters those devices depend on e-Liquids which by themselves remain to be properly documented in lack for sound healthwise guidelines (self-serving public "servant" often choose to cover their own sorry asses before anything else), not to mention that bigot anti-cannabic prohibitionists have ceased control in multiple domains and hence the drive to collect contaminated statistics is no incentive to fix such market dynamics i suppose... Then, besides poorly regulated e-Liquids, there's the matter of "Release" followed by "Transport"; in the Volcano it's Hot Dry Air in both cases, but not only: this vaporizer is built to perform deep extraction using an "Ovenizer" strategy, implying that potential contaminants from shreaded vegetal substrates actually boost its apparent cloud productivity, though i must conceed ultimately it's the responsability of healthwise consumers to put "bio" inside. Alternately, i'd criticize such similar designs as their associated rituals fail to offer a sufficient amount of opportunities to promote self-awareness; as a result i personally consider the Volcano and cigarette/"joint" share in common a tendency to invite plain abuse. Etc., etc. Simply remember a product's conception should always begin with some clear definition of the issue(s) to solve, not what's available in the components store that cost less to maximize profit!... Etc.

Good day, have fun!! :peace:

never understood:confused::shock::roll::rolleyes: CUTTING YOUR SHIT WITH SHIT!! to make it LESS effective and give you more SHIT with it??

Just SMH here.
For me it's just a convenience thing. The ones loaded with VG/PG are more vapour than product, but the ones I use now are just enough liquid to help the BHO vaporize. The mix is much nicer and it's very convenient and borderline scent free to carry in my pocket. If I'm not travelling, I don't use them at all. BUT, if I am leaving the house there is always one in my pocket.

Whole flower vaporizers are perfectly safe. Its the additives in the liquid type vaporizers that have caused issues with people.

Why you should probably stop smoking weed and buy a vape device

The good news is that you don’t have to actually light your pot on fire to inhale it. Cannabis burns at around 225 C (440 F), but it starts to release psychoactive compounds at a lower temperature, around 160 C (320 F). A vape device heats your weed at a high enough temperature that these compounds get released, but the cannabis is not hot enough for it to burn.

I use a volcano and an Arizer solo at home, but they're not convenient for my constant travels.
I have not had any issues with these pens, but that doesn't mean they're for everyone.
They're not some factory product full of melting plastic, they're locally grown strains being extracted locally and put into pens locally.
I'm comfortable with it and that's all that matters to me.

I don't disagree with you. That's why I try and get the organic ones that aren't mixed with SHIT.
That's the whole idea, otherwise I would just stir BHO into vape juice at my local vape shop.

I bought a yocan version 2 for $40. It comes with one concentrate pod, an oil pod and a vape juice pod. The concentrate pod works well for flower rosin (160micron) and lasts me 3-5 weeks before I switch it out with a new pod. A 4 pack of concentrate pods only cost $12. If you aren't worried about spending a little $ on pods this little vape is quite awesome. I can fit it in my wallet and the only thing you have to clean is the slot where the pod goes in.
