The biggest question of them all. What do you do when you go on vacation or business trips with your plants? To keep things hush hush as you all know that is the first and most reasons why your DUMB growers get busted by the fuzz. Ok back to question. I travel a lot for work and getting ready to be on an every other week buz. trips to Canada. I would only be gone for 5 days but thats long enough to kill it all. Any advice would be great.

I now I need to get another partner in crime to help out but that is not always that easy becuz' ppl talk way too much. Suggestion w/o another persons helps is what I need. I have a resevoir tank about 1 gallon to back-up the main water tank.:confused:

I have the same problem and so far I have not found a solution. I have been looking into various methods and I have been trying to create a low maintenance system that would allow a grower to leave for a week at a time... its been difficult. So far the most practical option I have thought of would be a soil grow with some sort of automatic watering wicker system. They also have automatic waterers you can buy for soil grows but I have yet to try these. I'd also like to get this figured out though

all you need to do is have a large enough res that there will not be too much fluctuation in ph over time.. I used to use a 70 gallon res that ran 2 4x8 ebb and flow tables I would leave it for a week at a time and the ph would fluctuate maybe .5 until the last 2 weeks which it would fluctuate more but by that time I was flushing with plain water so it didnt really matter... hope this helps

And how do you raise the light? Answer= you cant. Personally I go on hols when a grow has finished, start again when I get back!

Nice link. Kinda reminds me of a Hempy Bucket, but only with soil. I'm playing with a few hempy buckets myself, hoping to get a system that would involve me only watering once a week. If I get the drainage hole on the side of the bucket high up enough for it to hold enough water for a week it might work, but making sure you don't put the hole too high up so that the roots rot. That's the tricky part.

just raise the lights up more than you think the plants will grow. ensure your res is topped off before you leave. i'm sure your plants will be fine. it is a weed after all.

well considering my lights were air cooled and on movers i could have them really close and not have to worry about burning the tops... besides as long as your not in the first 3 weeks of flowering or so (strain dependant) your babies arent going to be putting on much more than a couple inches of height over a week long period because they will be focusing on flower production... so even if you had a non cooled stationary light your not gonna burn your tops :blsmoke:
