i would deff look into DM zone though i am running rdwc well a diy version of undercurrent an as said i got the slime since i replaced the airstones an netpots cleaned everything out i now have nothing, really nice white roots an crystal clear water not telling you to go buy it or promote it but for me it was the best £15 i spent , like you i dont know what nasties you have but i tried cleaning scrubbing bleaching every thing then running h2o2 in high doses was not doing nothing to combat my slime, in 1 day i had cloudy res with oil slick looking on top of water, water smelled funky i kept water at 50 degrees an the slime just kept comming back so yeah i replace airstones an net pots started running just dm zone with sensi grow an bang 3 weeks an nothing so i think its working, the only reason i got it was i was on another forum thc an they have a bit just for undercurrent an after seeing most of them were running it an were having no probs an also abit of reaserch thats what i decided on the only other product that i have heard good things about is pythoff but have not tried this yet so cant say to much on this hope all goes well for you hellraizer N.T.D

You can not use H202 and Chlorine/Bleach together. Iwould only use UV filter to 'run through' on replacing water in system. Or use in continuous circulating for top up water. It's not good idea to use with nutes as it affects Iron content.

I sorted my root rot/Pythium by following - Fongarid systemic fungacide (early veg), run system for 24 hours with sm-90, only use UV water to make nute mix, chiller, used Down Under Hydro Fungacide additive. I also add 35% H202 daily at 0.28ml/L.

Good luck.

went to the local shop and I guess they dont carry DM-zone but can order it, so went ahead and ordered some, but I did see sm-90 on the shelf
went ahead and just going to wait for the zone. Ive seen alot more info on other forums recamending the zone.

H2O2 will decompose into H2O + O2. You won't be smoking it.
H2O2 does not break down into H2O + O2, it breaks down into H2O + O. That free oxygen molecule attacks bacteria and is absorbed through the roots giving better oxygenation to the water and ultimately, the plants.

Im in a well and all water used is sterilized by UV. Im not saying that they work or not but I'm running my 10th tray (i think lol) and have never had a slime issue. I've read many a horror story and pray not to deal with it ever lol. I drain and fill every 7-10 days never clean anything in a run. I do add H2O2 (50ml per 135L) almost every fill, and try to keep temps at 70ish.

This is wrong. H2o2 does break down to h2o and o2 gas. The free oxygen molecule is bonded with the water molecule in a single bond structure and oxidizes inorganic and organic substances and degrades to just simple water and gas (o2), degradation is dependant on ph and other variables.

Hope you dont mind me asking you these questions?

Do you prefer the inline UV filter? My rez at the max hold 400 gallons for a 12 plant DWC. What wattage should I look into? What brand do you use and still you still use it to this day? How long should I run it because I was told it causes an iron deficiency in the water? Lastly, is it possible that I could just have it sterilize the tap water in the rez then add nutes and feed with the UV off? Thank you

My UV does the whole house. Not sure what the wattage is but it is a trojen. The actual systems are not filtered.

H2O2 cannot break down into H2O + O2 as that would require for the initial compound to be H2O3 . H2O + O2 equals 3 Oxygen atoms and you only started with 2 in H2O2 so where would this new third atom come from? H2O + O = H2O2. H2O2 - O = H2O and in the break down the minuses Oxygen molecule becomes free. Or in other words H2O and a separate O atom. I don't believe it can just make an additional oxygen atom during break down, it can only breakdown into the base atoms it had to start with...
