USPS signature for seeds?

I have been ordering from the Attitude seed bank for a while now and have recieved all orders, great service and selection. On my last order I used the guarenteed shipping option as I had before. Never have I been asked to sign for the package before by USPS. So the order makes it to my address (not growing anything, no equipment so I thought it ok to send to house). The PO carrier shows up and insists I sign for the package. Well, I hemmed and hawed a bit trying to get around that, not even acknowledging verbally it was mine. The package showed no sign of tampering but I refused it anyway being paranoid about signing for it. Had to eat the $115 I spent but I would much rather to that than get busted by signing for a possibly comprised delivery. The carrier said "all packages from overseas require a signature now". Perhaps next time I'll use standard delivery and try to avoid a signature. I am also considering Hemp Depot from Canada for my next order. Anyone else getting flack from USPS about signing for delivery?

Yeah, I was tripping I guess. But I have never had to sign for any order from any seedbank before, and I've been ordering for years. Guess I seen too many news stories about people getting busted after signing for packages, those were weed shipments and the like though. I was thinking money can be replaced, freedom can't.

i've had to sign for a couple of orders from the tude before.. i know one time i had to sign, but no one was home at the time, so the po dude left us a note to go and pick it up at the po.. once i got up to the po, they said i didn't have to sign for it after all..
imo, you're fucking nuts not signing for it.. shit, tell him to bring it over my place, i'll sign for that fucker.. if anything were to happen, it would have happened before it got to the po, and all you would have gotten was a letter from customs saying they took your shit.. once past customs, the only person in the po that can open any package is the post master general, and even he / she has to have a very good reason to go opening any package at all...
