150 watt street lights? What would those light? Whatever, before you can determine if they add, detrat or just burn watts you need to find out where they are in the color spectrum. In short, a light is a light.

oh dear, what a pikey , lol
Basically...........no.
i would like to know what he is calling a "street light"
hid's are uesd to light streets, parking lots, gyms, stores, and many other places

hps, mh, mv... are all hids,, that are very commonly found in these kind of lights.. and all can be uesd for growing

personally i would think that a "street lights " would be stronger the 150w..... but i guess the city could use whatever they please ... this is why i would like to see a picture of this street light.. beeing that there is sooooo many kinds of lights out there

Depends on the street...I got my HPS from alley lighting from where I work. They are 100HPS that are designed to mount on the side of a building. I use three and modified the mount to hang in the grow area...and they definitely work.
