Using granular plant food To make fertilizer tea

Hey guys. So all my plants have been going into flower and right now I’m short My dry amendments for flower with higher P-K values. All I have right now are 4-4-4 dry amendments.

I went out and purchased some miracle grow organic granules.

Miracle-Gro Performance Organics Edibles Plant Nutrition Granules - Plant Food with Natural & Organic Ingredients, for Tomatoes, Vegetables, Herbs and Fruits, 2.5 lbs. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YM6NLKC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_s5pIEbC3FFK1N

(don’t hate me, it’s all they had and my city is on lockdown and grow shops are closed).

These have a 3 month feeding span so I definitely will NOT be adding to my soil directly. I want to try and make a tea using just a small amount of this and some EWC and molasses and bubble 24 hours. Would that work?

Depends if it's slow release or fast, if it's slow your not going to get much out of a tea, but it wouldn't hurt either. Use unsulphured blackstrap molasses for k added during flower. Gotta watch how soluble the nitrogen is too, dont want too much of that.

Yeah that’s why I plan on cutting back a lot while making the tea. It just sucks all they had was either 4-4-4 which I already have, 4-6-4 (which isn’t That beneficial over 4-4-4), 6-8-0, and then this stuff which has the best shot. It’s supposed to feed for 2-3 months I believe so it’s slow release.

Too me, the Nitrogen in that 6-8-0, is too high , but some soil mixtures and plant strains may thrive on it.

Let us know how it goes. I've done it all for mediums and I'm gonna go back too mg since they have organic soil now. And I was gonna try that granule feed too with extreme gardening mykos and gro kashi.
I didnt read bottle ingredients when I was at menards cause I dont need it yet but if its organic wouldn't it be fine all the way through harvest?

Also on the nitrogen end they still need it in flower. For example my canna coco nutes a and b only increase in equal amounts in dosage till 7 weeks flower so that's telling me they are getting there nitrogen.

444 will grow your plant just fine. Use as described. What if you go make a tea and all you get is N?
Just put it in the soil and water. Super Soil created.

you are all replying to a thread from April, whatever decision was made it happened months ago.

You had EWC and molasses yet you added Miracle gro? shame. no need for that garbage.
choosing nutrients for your plants because "its what they had at Menards" is not the best idea lol. All of this stuff is available online.

Don’t Home Depot’s carry nutes? My local warehouse style hardware store has an entire hydroponics isle. Might be cause I’m in Northern California though.

At the time nothing was available online to me due to covid. I said that. Delivery times were over a month out.

I did both. Yeah i dont think the tea was that strong but i dont think it hurt either.

i did end up adding directly to soil as well. My batch that i added the MG in was actually a lot more potent than just the 4-4-4 batch... i hate to say it.

I still have a crap top of the MG food left tho. Ill experiment on my upcoming batch again to see the differences again. Ill do half the batch with it in the soil and half the batch with my normal down to earth dry amendments and see which batch is better again. Different strains this time.

Dude i wouldve thought the same thing but i think its cuz im in the midwest. Home depot and menards really dont carry barely anything outside of miracle grow for organic nutrients out here. U want anything else you gotta visit mom and pop shops or go online.
