hi I'm 'hopefully' ordering my drivers today but I want to make sure I'm making right choice, I want to drive 2 x CLU048-1212C4-403M2K1 @ UK 230 volts and my choice was going to be the Mean Well ELG-100-C1400a (possible C1050a) wired in series. Please can some one give me some expert advice as this is my 1st build. Thanks in advance

Hopefully a Expert number cruncher will chime in

At 1400ma the 1212 is 36.1 volts 50 watts
At 1050ma the 1212 is 35.0 volts 36 watts
Multipled by 2 cobs, for series = 72.2 volts @1400ma for 100 watts
Or 70 volts @1050ma for 72 watts
ELG 100 1400 constant current region = 35 - 72 volts
ELG 100 1050 constant current region = 48 - 95 volts

Thanks Moflo, that's a great grid of reference and makes it easier to clarify figures instead of notes written on envelopes and cross reference pages by screen. But I'm now thinking the 100-1050b is best with a 100k pot to dim. I hope for a little more advice on this as efficiency if any more can be given. I've fried my brain! Pop!

MeanWell HLG-120H-48A Driver for wiring in parallel.
2 x 1212s at around 54 watts each.
I don't use parallel...... yet.
What area are you using them for?
Veg or flower?

Nope I'm wanting to do my wiring in series but really fighting with elg-100-1050b and 1400b. External dimming I think will be easier to control . It's a straight forward 2 cob light clu048-1212 to wire in series and the best driver to do so?
