Using a box fan to dry bud?

just wondering if anyone has done something like this. I was thinking of hanging my bud and then having the box fan blowing away from
the bud, so its sucking air through the buds, not just blowing straight at it. anyway let me know if iyu guys think this would work well

yes i iz use a box with a dehumidifier inside and a fan blowing air out through a carbon filter werks pretty good and no smell

How long will you let it hang- in days. Just curious I know you hang until the branches bend but don't break. Is this a two day or two week process if your house has normal humidity.

3 days is too fast. aim for a week of hang time. you dont want to dry it to fast because chlorifil will get traped in the bud, and give you a unpleastent smoke.

If you use a hygrometer, it helps a ton.

I grow smaller indoor plants (typical yield 1-3oz) and it's really hard to dry them slowly hanging up, they just dry fast naturally. But as soon as they get crispy on the outside (about 3 days), i cut off the stems and manicure and put them in jars with the hygrometers. At this point after closing the jar for a couple of hours the buds are anywhere from 70-90% RH. Now you have better control over the drying process.

Then it's just a matter of taking them out of the jars a little bit each day and watching the humidity slowly descend into the 60's where you can basically just start burping the jars once a day.

You should get some really good smoke and flavor this way.

br0 its usually 6 to 7 days now as i saw in a curing thread in this forum i beleive iz sticky in harvest/curing they say after 4 or 5 days when da stem bends but doest break i.e when the outside of da bud iz dry but inside still moisty i start da curing process burp the jar (leave open) for 4 hours every 12hrs for a couple of weeks then 2 hrs etc... until dry hope this helps
