Well I just had a nice wake-n-bake, was reading a post and now im on the verge of trying to organize a revolution. We have the right to bare-arms if another man or organization keeps control over us. Thats whats in the constitution. Uncle sam has been doing the bullshit since 'Nam. Im wondering whats RIU's opinion on this. What if USA was to have a Revolution? What would be need and how would you come to it. If anything I would just imagine it being classified as a group like the Mafia or a streetgang.

Another question is, is a revolution even possible??? Id think we would need so much technology and funds to organize something of the matter.
Anyways, VOTE and say what you think about this.

Peace everyone :leaf:

I'd like to think something can be done but there are simply not enough people willing to give up the liberties they have to fight the powers that be. Maybe one day enough people will get fed up but first you've gotta get them to pay attention to what's wrong, and what the problems are. Ignorance is bliss in America, and we have a lot of blissful citizens.

I understand 100 percent. Good words.
But without hope, where are we? and most importanlty then WHO are we?
Im not trying to spend the rest of my days under the government.
I want to start a movement, yes it will start off slow but hopefully go beyond something better.

I am in Ga. grow tomatoes will not go as far as to bare arms but I do vote and have emailed my reps. If the Reps only respect numbers lets get some real numbers around the capitals peaceful demonstrations. They want to raise money sale tax permit to grow and I would just to grow things. Just do not tax my 15 tomato plants! Or cantaloupe if they produce anything this year! MM should be the norm not the Exception!

A show of FORCE/NUMBERS is the only thing the representatives will respond to. In their home area: DO IT NOW or Go Home in Nov! Most are looking to get reelected: Which side of the street will you be standing on?

The founding fathers did say the only reason for the right to bear arms is so the people could launch revolutions against a tyrannical government.

"One of the ordinary modes, by which tyrants accomplish their purposes without resistance, is, by disarming the people, and making it an offense to keep arms."
-- Constitutional scholar and Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, 1840

You know why there's a Second Amendment? In case the government fails to follow the first one.
-- Rush Limbaugh, in a moment of unaccustomed profundity 17 Aug 1993

Thomas Jefferson said:
What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

it would take competency.

spelling is an indicator of competence.

even the poll is spelled "their" instead of "they're".

i wish all you revolutionaries the best of luck.
George Washington was illiterate and America's most famous military general. Enough said.

he nearly froze his army in valley forge. they needed the french to help them win.
....

They all needed the french to help win. We were like the taliban fighting the US (Matter of fact that is a good analogy, not to pat myself on the back or anything).

Some examples of good things he did was when he was asked to be Commander in Chief for the American army, he asked for no salary. The thing he wanted was to be reimbursed for what he bought during the war. He also crossed the Delaware River to attack the British, and some historians say he saved the Revolutionary War. An effective thing he did was when moved the American army and the French army from New York to Yorktown, VA. He did this to surround the British army. George Washington was stalwart and had inspiring leadership even during the worst times. When some people say it wasn't brave of him to avoid one battle, he actually did it to save his army! In March 1776, George Washington made the English leave Boston and Boston became free. Once, he saved a battle and he wasn't seen. If he had been seen, the war would have been over. George Washington won the war.
George Washington's early military career (1754-1758)—during the Seven Years' War—was not uniformly successful. In his first battle, he and his men were ambushed and forced to surrender Fort Necessity on the Pennsylvania frontier. Washington's reputation for leadership and courage was based on his actions in another defeat at the hands of the French. In that battle, at Fort Duquesne (1755, often called the "Battle of the Wilderness" or "Braddock's Defeat"), Washington had two horses shot from under him and eventually had to assume command from the mortally wounded General Edward Braddock. Washington led the surviving British and Colonial soldiers on a successful retreat.
Later (1775-1783), Washington would lead the Patriots to a surprising victory over Great Britain, "…the best-trained, best-equipped fighting force in the Western world. …Although he lost most of his battles with the British, year after year he held his ragtag, hungry army together"—from the EDSITEment resource The American President.
He deserves his credit.
