A timer will run you about $10. It's well worth the small investment.
To answer your question the way you wanted it answered, conduct buisnes as usual. An extra 4hrs probably won't hurt them unless you have light leaks or turn on the lights during the dark period.
Don't sweat it and invest in a timer.
