Upside down plants???

I would love to see a plant grow in zero gravity. i.e Space. Nasa must have done experiments. I wonder if osmosis would be affected... In fact it would be quite interesting to see how exhaled smoke behaves in zero gravity.... Sorry, I digress. :bigjoint:
LOL. Jogro is correct about artificially maintained sealed-air environments. The scrubbers weren't designed to handle smoke like that. Smoke from a fire can be purged at the expense of lost atmosphere. It would be fun to hot-box one of those Zero-G 747's, though!

In the future spacecraft are likely to be powered by some form of cheap nuclear power giving them almost limitless energy. At such a time I can envisage air being created on a molecular level quite easily, possibly by harvesting passing meteors/comets that often contain ice. Thus smoking a joint in space may still be possible. :leaf:

I dont know what a 'hot box' is but I would love to take a parabolic ride on one of those zeroG 747. I would of course have stuffed my face with plenty of canna edibles and a few mushrooms. This has to be on my bucket list!

Hot Box - When you sit in your car with your friends, roll up the windows and turn the vents off, and smoke until you can't see your buddies from the smoke and about to pass out. Its actually kinda stupid because all the oxygen gets burned.. But the "non-smoker" passenger ends up getting high too.

fdd2blk did this a couple of years ago and it worked well for him. but i was kind of wondering if u could just put a aqua globe in it and get a more desirable effect.

I did the upside thing one year. From the reading I did, it was designed to give you more growing space and keep the plants off the ground where most of the pests are believed to be. In practice, most of the pests I encounter were the flying kind, and hanging the plants didn't do much. The plants still reach towards the light. Watering became more complicated. And supporting a 5-7 gallon container filled with wet soil is more hassle then it's worth.

What worked better for me was a simple square foot garden and planting cannabis next to carrots and legumes.
