Last week I crossed a thread that was talking about growing tomatos upside down so I said fuck it and did some afro-engineering flipping a pot upside down with sran wrap. Has anyone done this before. Comments welcome...Btw the plant is a male.

Plants have genetic coding that tells them which way to grow. Roots grow down and the above soil grows up, that of course does not include ground cover that tends to grow laterally. So any plant that is genetically coded to grow in the normal fashion will not grow upside down. If it can survive long enough it will turn its growth around and both the roots and above ground portion of the plant will attempt to grow in the direction it is genetically coded to do. They do not just grow in opposite directions regardless of positioning.

whats the point of growing upside down though?
Well if you are outside I imagine it makes it more difficult for bugs and animals to get to. For flat inside growers I wonder if they could remove their reflector and hang these above their plants and the light that is below if they have the space... that would be cool to see :bigjoint:

Hmmm.. Looks good fdd...When i first flipped it i cut a hole in the very bottom of pot..the air to the soil made it go with gravity and left me a shit load of space where i cut the hole so i filled the hole with Verm. and perlite and fox farm ferts and under hps even tho it was a male it looks good im gonna cutt it today or tomarrow. I just got called back to work so I dont have time to take care of this extra shit..

f.y.i that was my bubble gum strain
