Update.

Things are looking very good in my tent, temps are good, air flow is good, however when I transplanted my true BB clone, she began to yellow around the edges of her leaves a little. When I asked at the shop what the issue couuld be, I was told it could be the soil is a little too hot with nutrients for now (I'm using Roots Organic). I have been feeding just straight water, no nutes or anything yet, not for a while. I've also researched that if the roots are a little damaged (which I'm sure happened somewhat) that the girls will take nutrients from the leaves to repair and focus on the root system. Could this be possible? She was supercropped before she was given to me and is starting to perk up more.

Maybe I'm just being too paranoid, but I need this baby to survive so she can be a mother :? If there are any kind people out there with wise words, I'd appreciate it. Also, is there anyone out there willing to maybe gift some clones? I'm starting from the ground up here and I haven't had access to meds in quite some time.

hot soils can make a clone really unhappy but usually snap out of it as they grow. I would continue to use plain ph'd water, if possible or let it sit out for a day or two, and im sure she will work up to a beauty. post some pics if you can. good luck

Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna continue just straight water for a while and see what happens. I'll post pics asap, the only camera I have available is a shitty camera phone, but I'm working on that. Anyways, your words are encouraging.

This is why I do not like pre mixed soil. you have no control over the nutrients. Get some dolomite lime and keep it on hand, that soil is known to have PH issues as the plants grows. Keep us up to date, and post pics when you can.

The grow store also told me that FFOF was hot. I had hit mine with that Epsoma organic lime, blood meal and a lot of perlite. Fed it constant ph'ed water. No issues for me.

I really like FF nutes too... although I've never used any other.

Boom baby.

Ps, sorry for the post jack. But if your going to be doing what I did and your first time grower - I figured you might want to see the results. Your me a few months ago. :)

Thanks Jeos. And I'm just running in a closet for now with a cheap inline and a bunch of CFL. Your doing HPS right? I already saw the nice exhaust.

Your going to look WAY better. Start a log and I'll be subscribed.

Wow, those are great results for the setup you got! And yes, I'm running a 1000w HPS on 18/6 probably til the mid to end of november, if they get nice n big by then. I did however change my setup a little, I'm now exhausting OUT my window and running an xtrasun cooled hood, so it looks a little different, the fan is inside my tent now mounted on the ceiling. Just gotta get the carbon filter soon and I'll be in 100% in business. I'll take pics and start a log asap.

FFOF isn't hot, it is what it is. It comes with all the veg ferts in it. No need to feed in veg, just water. Keep the bottle of "grow" handy, you'll find some strains still want a little more N because the FFOF isn't "loaded", if anything its a hair weak but thats how you want it, if you need to adjust then you do but if not, let em run. Also, when I used ffof, I would always get up on the cal/mag a feed or 2 before you flip em.

Good info LBH.

Did you used distilled or reversed osmosis water (thus no minerals) or do (did) you add cal mag to regular water?

I used very little grow nutes during veg. My ffof like I said, lime and blood meal. Then I used that Schultz all purpose... like 10-5-10. I only did 1/4, 1/4,1/2 and 1 full strength feeding in my month veg all the rest was water. Now I've been doing Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom.

So yeah from my limited experience I can't agree more.

I use Botanicare along with my FFOF..Grow,Cal/Mag,Liquid Karma and Recently added Silica Blast also for veg...Feed every water 1/2 strength.Never had an issue with over feeding.

And I mix 1/3 Pertilite, and some pulverized lime to the soil to make a mix..The lime seemed to help keep the P more balanced where i needed it Mid-End way through flower.

All My Grows before this one were 100% CFL.
And mine is right now too. It smells 100% loud. :)

Can't wait for my HPS and to see the results of anyone doing soil with one. A RIU friend of mine does FFOF, bloodmeal and lime, grow big, bb and tiger bloom - veg's under CFL and flowers with HPS. His sour disel's are like the size of my forearm.

Keep us updated J.
