Update on first grow and a question

Well, so far the pass week has been freaking hell for my plants. Started off with some heat stress last week due to temps being too high in the closet, which i have been addressing and i think the new growth has been looking a lot better. But then last night my power went out and didnt come back on till bout 7:30 tonight. So today during the day for my plants to get some light and stay on schedule i had to stick them outside,i stuck them in the shade tho so they wouldnt get too hot because the temps were reaching atleast 90 today. I took these pics right before i put em back in my closet after being outside all day. Ill be so happy to get atleast some buds off of these after what they have been threw.

As many people were saying the set of leaves that got the most heat stress are starting to die off and eventually i guess will just fall off.

I was wondering if its time to add nutes?? or too soon and let them recover more. they r bout 4th week into veg.

It seems as if the great white shark has been able to take more stress than the white rhino.

Well, friend. It's definitely heat stress so at least we've diagnosed the problem. Things that could fix this:

• Raise your light.
• Add a fan, FACING AWAY FROM PLANTS. Marijuana is not normally subjected to windstorms...

That's what I did whenever I noticed any signs of heat stress and it worked great. Also, a tip I thought of when I was high that not only helped me but might help you. I know you probably have a little fan that would normally sit on the floor, but raise that bitch uppp! Put that fan to where the ass of it's aiming nearly right under the bottom of the light. A lot of indoor light fixtures will give off too much heat!

Remember, it's nearly impossible to "over light" a plant, but it's very very possible to "over heat" it.

thx for reply buddy, right now i got a little fan in the corner of my closet blowin on the plants and a 18 inch box fan in the door way as well blowing on them, both are on low setting.should i turn the 18 inch box fan around blowing outside? ive been addressing the heat stress for a few days now. was mainly wondering bout to nute part, is it too soon?

The plants need new air flowing beneath their leaves, creating a suction will constantly be moving the air and changing it up rather than blowing your fans directly into the corner. Unless, your fans are weak and don't have MAXIMUM THRUST AND TORQUE then you should be ok. Just make sure the leaves aren't being fan-handled. Keep an eye on your thermometer/humidistat and let us know the temperatures.

Regarding nutrients, I might wait just a bit longer. Some people consider vegetative growth when your plant reaches it's 5th node. You decide whether your plant looks mature enough for additives.

I may add .. when you deside to start on nuts... start low .. 1/4 strengest .. evry seccon watering .. go up slow ..

so they dont get a shok/over fertilized .. still small plants even tho they are old ;)

its my first grow so im not sure when they look mature enough :P but alrighty i will prolly wait longer then to add nutes as far as temp/humidity goes,im pretty sure i had them under control before i had the mishap today that i stated. 80-81 and 45-50% humidity.

yea i think they are small because of what they have been threw, and i also have buried the stems a good 3 inches when they were real young.

I runn 80-84F and 35-45% and they do great ..

I got a bit confused about your setup ... do you have a outtake ventilation of some kind ? so you can replace the air/co2 in the room .. and keep temps down ?

thats the way ive had it set up the pass few days, i dont have a exhaust on my hood yet cuz i couldnt afford to get the inline fan. thats why the temps have been getting too hot, but like i said so far the new growth has been lookin a lot better since ive raised the light and added the other fan.

Well, notice how your box fans sitting on the floor in the picture. Put that boy up on that crate next to your diary. ;) But for real, try and get it close to where the heat's coming from... THE BULB!

hmmm .... nice big fan .. but what I would try to do maybe ...is use it to pull air out .. somehowe ..

could maybe build a cheap easy to put up fake door who block then bottom 2/3 so top 1/3 is the fan ... bloweing out ... pulling hot air out ... dunno if it will work .. but it is amazing how much air big fans pull .. more then you think .. you can mostly/only fell the air it blows ..

in the bottom .. near the floow of the "fake" door (plywook/thick plastic or what ever ?) you need a passiv intake ..

as air is puld out of the room fresh air will be pull in to replace it ...

hot air move up .. could air sits at the floor ..

EDIT: now Im thinking more about it and looking at the pics .. do it blow directly at the plants ? could be wind stress .. similar to heat stress .. dont blow at emm .. blow at the wall or sumthing so it is`t so tuff on the plants .

yes i have the fans blowing on the plants ,the fans are both set on low so its a pretty gentle breeze, ill try flipping the big fan around and turnin it on high to see how much hot air it sucks out

yea atlest try ... try to hang it high in the door .. also try to seal up most of the rest if possible ? some big black platic backs ..

for this to realy work you actualy need a littel bit of underpresure in ther .. so opening for the "passiv" intake near the floor cant be to big ..

if you make some kind of door in plastic you will be able to see it get pulld in a bit when you got a negativ presure ..
