Several questions:

How powerful of a loop do i need to check trichomes. I prefer a more head high, so what percentage of cloudy do i need to have to make that possible.

Also, about this percentage, when people say "you need 50% of trichs cloudy then harvest".....are they talking about 50% of trichs on a single bud, or the plant as a whole? thanks guys.

Not sure about when too harvest since I'm on my first grow but I did buy a 30x/60xloop and the 60x is more then plenty I feel like I get a better view with the 30x

I use a usb powered microscope that plugs into my phone it goes to 1000x plus it’s cheap as hell.
