Unusual leaf coloration

So I've been growing this strain for several years and it has recently started to exhibit a leaf trait since we've moved to our new operation. The plant shows no sign of stress and the coloration moves constantly. It occurs at during the dark cycle when the plant is growing. I've not sat for hours to watch it and i've yet to set up my time lapse photo setup to watch it remotely. Some plants exhibit it a lot more than others but almost all 99 plants have had the trait over the past month. It doesn't happen on every plant every day, it's just random. The leaves that have had the trait a few days later appear totally normal again. So i'm of the belief that this has something to do with water temperature. 17c, i'm waiting for the gas company to come and turn my gas on, but the water heater is way old and i'm certain it'll lead to bigger problems with all the excess Fe that'd be leached from the thing. I'd like to say it's Mg but I'm not certain. So information about the setup...

Plants are grown in Vermi-Fire soil from clone and fed with Progress Earth's compost tea made in the Vortex brewer. That's the entire setup from start to finish.

ideas?

thoughts?

thanks,
