I agree totally unnecessary storage is key I've popped 10 year old seeds just by putting them in medium and watering never had problem popping seeds

Ole timer finally let me have a bag of seeds I know for sure is over ten years old and he said some may be up to 30 years old. They have been in a dresser drawer in a cedar box the whole time.

I keep seeds in a cool dry place with dry rice mixed in. I popped some seeds a couple years ago that were from when I was a teenager. Real good road kill creeper. They popped just fine.

I had and oak dresser drawer break and I glued it back together and there was a gap that I found a bag of seeds long forgotten.

i popped a seed last December some Acapulco Gold i got from father in law it was easily 20 years old still popped and grew great as long as seeds dont get in high humidity conditions they should pop no problem in my experience

I grow heirloom vegetable seeds and save them year to year. I also catalog and save some each year to. I have various flower, vegetable and cannabis seeds from over the last 20 years.

I have saved unknown bag seeds and brick seeds that were fire and wrote notes on them.

i hear you i do alot of gardening outside of my fav herb and i always save seeds i have so many bag seeds with notes on them and my breeder pack collection is growing fast ( addicted to buying genetics) its people like us that have 10 15 year plus seeds that help keep some great old genetics alive when they cant be found any more

Haha You guys can mock me all you want but what if you don't know any way to get seeds cause you've been out of the game for years, then someone gives you some that have not been stored correctly and they aren't popping using normal germinating methods? Sand paper method sounds the easiest but I never heard of that method before reading this thread and that vid on YouTube worked a treat for the guy that used it.

Don't get tour panties in a bunch lol sand paper trick is old as time and used on way more seeds than mj you didn't look hard at finding a way to pop older not stored correctly beans but seriously I'm in a non legal state and could find 15 guys selling Mexicana brick full of seeds if I needed them. seeds aren't hard to come by now with the Internet you could get whatever seed you desire

Your right I didn't look past the ga lol but I'm learning... live in New Zealand and Find it hard to get good strains, even tho weed is not hard to get here, the good stuff never had any seeds, I only have some bush sativa seeds im picking out of my stash which I don't like smoking because I'm an insomniac and started smoking again to get some sleep..., I managed to get four white rhino (don't even know if that is even true) seeds from a guy that could not germinate them, there is only four so I really don't want to fuck it up lol

I wanted you to articulate why you used and reccomemded a certain product.

I have a fair idea why its used.

This was a learning exercise. There is a lot of myths and bs when it comes to growing cannabis.

Normally it pays to verify info from several sources to get a consensus on if the info is true or not.

You are reccomending a product. It is generally a good idea to know why you are doing something.

Think about it a bit. Don't get mad and use it to help on future endeavors.

Most any weed will help sleep if matured to the right point. Most of the time the product you get from any seed will be better than the bag it came from if treated with care.

This thread is starting to get painfull to read lol the way I get them popping is simple get some seed raising mix put it in a plastic container ice cream 1 ect wet the soil obviously Put glad wrap over it pop a few wholes in it for air then put in the sun or under a glass pain or a cheap 20doller propagater from the wharhouse and there ya go just keep cheking daily that its moist
