Lol...

UBI is supposed to be the basics, I evwn said to include kids and you're having a meltdown as if I don't support it.

I do support it, but I think it would work better in a meritocracy.

And since you want to talk about IQ, what do you do for a living?
how would a meritocracy (which is a trend) be A. fair? and B. better for the success of ubi?
Just because it takes a higher IQ to be a doctor than it does to be a security guard or run a super market , doesn't mean that a security guard or super market worker can't be smarter than a doctor.
i write, work security and do all jobs of a super market at a large food bank, i also consult with start up businesses and websites.
my Iq is high. i study psychology, ecology, and some political science and philosophy, linguistics ,,i have eclectic interests and am passionate. what u call a meltdown, where you mix up words and letters of my writing is my outrage and attempt to educate you who is willfully ignorant. what do u do slick?

It's been proven in Canada that the vast majority of homeless if given a place to stay with no preconditions will stay there.

Only about 5% of the homeless rehoused went back onto the street.
good for you, you found a fact and you haven't even got it twisted. or have you? thanks for helping make my point.
are you trying to refute what i said or prove it?

I don't get what's so difficult to understand and it was you that jumped to insults, (and for a security guard to mention IQ, no offense but that's just lol).

My point all along was to set UBI to cover basics (groceries, rent, electric) and allow peoples work to cover all the optional extras.

what if someone can't work? you indicated that disabled don't deserve basics. $1000 doesn't cover basics.

you haven't made a case against, you just disagree so i have nothing to understand except that you are ignorant.
(what do you do again?) you brought up iq and what i do for a living. funny you didn't say "for a writer" you want to obfuscate the facts

Universal Income is a step in the wrong direction. Giving people money will quell their motivation and competitiveness. There will be little reason to think freely, creativity will go out the window, there will be more dependency, the middle class will fall into lower class and the divide from the 1% will grow, imagine the only store to shop is Walmart, the only fast food is McDonalds and Taco Bell (Demolition Man, Sandra Bullock heh), all of your groceries will come from GMO Monsanto, etc.

Why do you think the top is proposing this?

Do you really believe the will come out of pocket for this?

Do you think they will send THEIR sons and daughters to fight THEIR wars?

Do you think they want to pay taxes?

I never mentioned disabled people, disabled people are the ones that not giving spurious cash to able bodied people for discretionary spending helps.

That's a separate topic altogether, I wouldn't even discuss the two in the same topic.

This is about UBI and making it so those who can and do work are rewarded over those who choose not to and just want to live off UBI.

studies show that earning money motivates people to do manual labor, the more you pay the harder they work. However earning money actually leads to poorer performance when it comes to tasks that require Cognition . the more brain power required the worse the response to incentive.
it is widely believed in psychology that humans have a drive to work. eat ,fuck, seek shelter, work ,socialize.
your opinion is only revelvant as you are presumably a voter and 1 in 6 billion people on earth. those are not facts you keep typing.

""disabled people are the ones that not giving spurious cash to able bodied people for discretionary spending helps."" care to try to make a proper sentence that makes sense?

Manual labour? Tell that to engineer getting six (6) figures.

You have no backing to your claims.

Spreading misinformation to spread apathy, tisk tisk.

Fact, Monsanto is taking over business after business eyeing entire industries.

Fact, rich people want to stay rich. They don't like manual labour and the more money they get the more effort and money they spend to get more money, without lifting a finger.

Fact, not everyone is motivated to work. Eating, sleeping, fucking and doing drugs are mainstays. By the by, drugs are used to suppress the public.

Education is a dangerous thing, thinking is equally dangerous.

Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day.

Teach a man to fish, he'll eat for a lifetime.

I just made that up.

"Spreading misinformation to spread apathy" is that what you are doing?

"Fact, not everyone is motivated to work. Eating, sleeping, fucking and doing drugs are mainstays. By the by, drugs are used to suppress the public."
not everyone is motivated to be a robot. people have passion and drive that manifest in work, as in labor, sometimes to produce goods sometimes to do art ect.

"Fact, rich people want to stay rich. They don't like manual labour and the more money they get the more effort and money they spend to get more money, without lifting a finger"
they have hobbies. they play at making it easy for themselves. the drive to work manifests in quests for power.

Get educated . i will find some studies backing my facts. meanwhile you can go back to trolling with your hand me down opinions that you have no evidence for.

Deflecting? Another sign of defeat. For quoting Psychology you are falling into the easiest of traps.

No, Monsanto is actually doing just that. That is why it is a fact.

We aren't talking about robots. We are talking about people, the most unreliable part of any organization. By the way, that is a fact as well (basic economics).

You don't know any rich people, do you?

It is interesting you telling me to get an education all the while you are being schooled by me.

Pale face?

Racial slurs?

I'm quite tan, actually.

I didn't realize I was arguing with a ignorant racial bigot.

To clarify, I'm friends with anyone who is worth being friends with (substance, character, values, morals, etc.) which, surprisingly, is a very small circle. Everyone from the man married with three children making six (6) figures, to the dude that paints to pay his bills (just painting, his talent and creativity).

Since you missed it earlier, reading comprehension has gotten worse over the years and I'm getting the impression you are a Millenial which would explain everything, giving people money will remove their motivation to be creative.

Bye bye, painter and engineer.

Junkies, those who choose drugs over food and shelter.

The Meth and Opiate epidemic is only getting worse, I understand you wouldn't ask who is doing it so I will offer that up, from the pharmaceutical companies wanting to make money regardless of the consumers health and wellbeing.

Seriously, you should be taking notes here. This will be on your final, you don't want to fail, again.

i was clear. you attacked my position without reading and comprehending it.
pardon the tirade.
Now moving on and treating disability separately (as they unquestionably need whatever they need), would you agree UBI could wholly replace welfare in the sense of food stamps, unemployment, etc?
