Plan is about 36"x20" tent. Four plants, maybe s.ix at time tops. Looking for staggard harvests. Two plants a month harvest hopefully. I have four vegging currently under a vipar blurple 300w. Only two weeks in Vegas so light is ok for now. Have supplemental 9w LED lights hung also. The vipars do not run enough reds for flowering in my opinion. Plus the technology is becoming outdated already lol

@BudgetGrows Good idea for Two plants a month harvest !!:clap: As usual, 30W~50W actual power per squ feet can make decent result. For 3'x1.6' (36''x20'') growing space, total actual power should be 144W ~ 240W .
Have found some info for VIP 300 on Google, some sites shows actual power 136W. If its right. U r right, ur current growing system (VIP300 + 9w light) is not enough to feed ur crops for flowering when u r looking big harvests.
UFO80LED draw power 175W would perfectly cover ur 3'x1.6' growing room. BTW, whats ur budget?

Really would like to keep it under $400 but still pricey without really knowing what I am buying. There's good deals out there like the bestVA X5 1000w around $140 I've found with good reviews. Honestly $140 wouldn't be all that much of a loss as I could put it to use somewhere if it we're not to be great. But would also invest more in a good solid light. Ugh lol :) I'd rather be on the higher watt end rather than not enough. I know I can grow plants with very little but rather just grow nice normal plants rather than have to mess with scrog anymore. But 2-3 zips a month off 2 plants isn't really an ordeal lol.

rollaj is already generating business I would like to see more of these kind of journals where equipment is evaluated I watch this thread because my light is similar & im doing a single plant grow as well a lot of us are gonna benefit from rollaj's journal including me because he is farther along than I am my light has osram chips & pulls 200w. at the wall although not exactly the same it's pretty close I think riu should make a special section for this kind of stuff I've bought 2 leds in the past year & this would of been helpful in my light choice this thread gives me a goal to shoot for this size light & single plant grows are gaining popularity more every day here are a couple pics of my small growIMG_2372.JPGthat is a ways behind rollaj's but hopefully looks as good as his one of these days IMG_2380.JPGIMG_2381.JPG

RollaJ...can u message me w general info...prices...n stuff.

About this light...
Thanks...good work w plants
Their lights are kinda pricey. But it's as the saying goes. You get what you pay for. Their lights seem to be well built. Good cooling, the cheap Amazon lights are junk. Bestva 1000 watt is really only 200 roughly I think actual wall drawl. And they generate a ton of heat. Like a ton. I have buddy with one. In a 3x3 tent. And a bestva 1000watt and his temps top the 90s. I'd save more and get one from @Unit Farm System Supply

Just takes practice. And not being scared to top your plant. I top mine early, all together 3 times. Veg for 6 weeks. Utilizing the space and the light to maximize yeild is what im trying to do. Training is very important too. Just got to have paitence and confidence. Educating yourself on the subject benefits you best. Glad to have a shot testing out the light. Im representing over here! Im dialed in! We r at 80° 40%Rh
light is shining oh so bright20170812_111501-1.jpg

She started under cfl. 20170625_121900-1.jpg Then made a diy led veg light and continued vegging under that lamp. 20170709_120556-1.jpg 20170709_160228-1.jpg 20170726_223025-1.jpg Recieved the ufo80 and im flowering under that now. 20170728_183757.jpg Who isnt curious to see how this 2x2 single plant under a 400$ high end led light with proper care and skills can produce. Next grow will be from seed to harvest under the UFO80 LED

I'm running a 400 watt hps right now over 3. I think I'm gonna switch to two 250hps. 1 foot in on each side. To have 1 foot hot spot in the middle with half the flowering area of each light on each side of the clone I mainlined. And just let the big one flower out. See how much I can get just from the one clone in 3g smart pot.

I just don't feel they produce the denseness as hid lights do. I know denseness is a weird word. Lol.

I mean don't get me wrong they grow the shit out of some plants. I veg with 5500k cobs. And it rocks the shit out of it. But I just can't get the weight I do with hps/mh/lec. Ect ECT ect

Ik what u r saying. My guy runs 2000watts of hps right now and his colas r very nice.. But he has a rack full of suppliments and a good area as well has been growing for 8 years. He is skeptical on led also. But the jackie white i grew was super doooper dense. Nugs were rock solid. He was even impressed :)

When I used LED...some of the best plants I ever had in veg...I use as little nutrients as possible n always as Organic as possible...the same mix whether using LED or CFL... around 400 actual watts of CFL per plant if it's mid size(about 2×2/2×3) n average around 4ozs per plant dried w the CFL...the time I used the LED I used a 200 watt Advanced LED for one plant n got around 2ozs... smaller buds...hella resin tho...I'm not anti led at all n hope to get BK to em someday bc of convenience n I jus like the look of em8-)bongsmilie...I've jus got better end results w CFLs... I'm gonna expand my operation a little tho n I can't have 100 CFL bulbs hanging in a room like some Christmas Vacation type shit... high wattage LEDs is what I'm gonna with

Yeah I'm not anti....led either. I have 2 Viparspectra par450s that I was gonna flower with. Along side the 400 HPS. One on each side. But I figured out cost wise to run it plus hps isn't worth the extra cooling I need. Right now I'm running a 5000btu window unit converted the cold side down to 5 inch adapter to vent line into tent. And it keeps it perfect with open hood 400 watt. 75ish at hottest part of day. And then 71 at during lights out.
