HTG is a great store but does not do much to keep the money in Michigan as it's a pretty large national company. They carry off brand lights, ballasts, and reflectors for a good price and have great quality. The other place on gratiot is expensive I paid over msrp for an air pump from them. If I had to pick a local store it would be the cultivation station the one off gratiot and 21 knowledgeable staff fair prices and a nice selection of stuff including full line of canna.

I went in to the Cultivation Station about a month ago and the employees were chatting it up, they looked annoyed when they had to put their conversation on hold to check me out. At least at Sunnyside I get a handshake and a conversation.

I am pretty sure you were the one that started doing the arguing, against everyone else's opinions ITT. You weren't giving your opinion, IMO, you were just trashing a small business owner. Just another RIU member with 1k+ posts that is a total tool. It is amazing how many of you I have to put on ignore. Go have fun spamming the forum for patients to buy your meds.
again your way off. i simply trashed a small business owner. allowed. public forum. get off my dick.

nothing i said was fabricated or exagerated in any way.

your attacking me for it so again ill ask, are you done argueing?

i dont spam these boards to sell meds, i do that on the appropriate sites.

i dodnt know about the off brands, the cheaper sets are growbright. those are sold by any hydro stroe to my knowledge. i have bought a 400 watt from them like three years ago and it was their own brand (htg) maybe thats what your talkin about? idk, either way though that htg brand i had for a couple years and i sold it on craigslist. it worked great the whole time.

i have been wanting to go to the cultivation station for a while and i never go that far north.

HTG's bargain stuff:

Digital Greenhouse = ballasts
High-Yield Lighting = reflectors
Growbright = the one piece lighting setups with attached ballast, also Growbright makes most of the other equipment HTG sells, inline fans, etc.

the guy sells him a 50 dollar set of fox farm nutes and tells him dont pay attention to the ph because it wont be neccessary anymore. he didnt even know what type of water he uses? wtf...
anyhow guy walks out without the ph and and tester but he got some nutes and a scope for 3x the price.

that got to me and ever since i have been back a few more times and everytime shit happens like that. i have more stories like that...

one incident happened to me but i had my cash replaced by jeff so nothing causing personal bias there.

your claims are way off. i simply dont like what i see everytime i go to the store. its poorly run imo and i spoke my thoughts. this is a public forum so im allowed to do it.

im sure you dont go there for advise but trust me alot of people do. and they take these peoples suggestions.
I had to laugh a little when reading this thread,"great, my first post". I'd agree that it sucks if the store personal are not knowledgeable, or don't direct you to the one person who is, or just flat out admit they don't know.

Well run stores are always a joy. I know their prices are higher than online(was "higher than mail order" in the day), but here is convenience, timeliness, money to the community, helping the business stay open to continue that pattern.

IMO, anyone serious about their grow should own at least TWO ph testers(for checking against each other, averaging, etc.) And having and understanding methods for adjusting your medium's ph is pretty crucial. *I personally use white vinegar for small changes down, tiny amounts of muriatic acid for larger changes....both are cheap and work great.

What I don't understand is why rzza keeps going back there if it sucks so badly in his opinion. Like some dude complaining about his girlfriend all the time but not being able to just break up.

I just happened up on this post and I noticed you guys were talking about Geof from Sunnyside Hydro in Eastpointe, MI. I use to be a faithful customer of his up until about two months ago. Over the course of a year I have come to realize a few thing about Geof, he's lazy, forgetful and he lies for no fucking reason. Pathetic. He is real good for pointing shit out in his store, fat fuck never gets up off his bench. He will forget a price he quoted you the day before and will tell you 'I would never sell that for that price', and every fucking time I would come in the store he would go 'Oh yeah, I didn't forget about that thing you wanted me to order from you.' He would be refering to an item I gave him that I bought at a competitor's store and asked him to order me some. Geof, I hope your reading this because if you are, you know who this is, stop bullshitting your customers. I know he may not miss my $200-300 a month...... fuck you Geof for making me drive further for shit.
