I wonder why noone else does this its simple for new growers and saves the massive headaches that you get with nutrients. And has great results.
To answer your question, I think it's fear. Fear of failure by new growers is what drives a by-the-book approach with zero point of reference, and fear on the part of growbook authors who are uncomfortable asserting something different. This, assuming the author actually grows. Not likely.

In all truth, I think that most growbooks are a part of some pseudo-conspiracy that's designed to prevent regular folks from having successful grows. How else can one explain all this bullshit? Go down to IC, a much smaller forum populated by a good number of professionals, and you'll see similarly simple ways of controlling fertilization.

The harder you make this, the greater your chances of failure.

I'm sorry I need specific instructions I need to understand the growing lol..

So if I use and kind/brand of soil I can use the dolominite lime on it.
Basically putting 1/2tsp of lime powder to a gallon of tap water.(I like to drown my soil in water and let it sit for a day before i put my plant in it.) So in this case i would be using the lime gallon i just made. Let it adjust and when i transplant do the same or would i just water with that 1/2tsp every time i water?

It does make sense Simon because my first successful grow I had no idea what I was doing I did the basics light, water, soil, and of course a bagseed.
I had issues that then I didn't even know where issues and now I look back and see them. But my plant out grew every problem it went through and i had a nice 1/2 oz of bud.
No chemicals no proper soil just a simple grow now that im reading this growbooks to try to get more better quality bud with nutrients and stuff I've had several grows go to the trash which is the reason for this thread for me to understand growing!! The most simple right way of doing it.

But of course i learned about nutes and i do want to use all FFF products.
i am getting the dolomite lime to be on the safe side with ph. And still gonna test my ph.

waht is the reasoning for wanting to use FF asides from apparently you already have it? Its ok but overpriced and not any better than others?

Yea because I already have them and all my research has gone to them already.
And I dont really want to confuse myself and keep switching nutes.
I have no idea of any other nutrients?

I tried the snake oil and never had great results. To much dickin' around with this or that soil and BS nutes. I changed to a super basic Black Gold potting soil (very neutral) and Dyna Grow Foliage Pro. Gee, guess what my plants love it and I know exactly where I'm at with my nute regimen. No guessing or following idiotic charts.

99% of the stuff out there is fancy names and marketing. Keep it simple stoner.
